May 24, 20251 yr If not, will it work for MSFS 2020 / 40th Anniversary? My main goal is nice scenery. Thx!!! Hello Reddit! I am wondering if Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 will work on my computer. Note that I am mainly looking for nice scenery while I am flying around, and would really love all the photography challenges on MSFS 2024. Yes, I know they have reccomended specs, but I'm not sure and want info and recommendations from real players. Ok, so here are my specs (they're not the best). OS Version: Windows 11 Pro Direct X Version: DX 12 Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13420H 2.10 GHz Installed RAM: 32.0 GB (29.5 GB usable) System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor VRAM: 2048 Megabytes (I think that is 2 GB) Storage: I don't really know what this means, but I go to the Storage seciton in settings and it says: Local Disk (C:) - 953 GB, and then says I have used 68 GB and ahve 884 GB free. So, thank you for all of this! If you need more specs or have any questions- just ask. I'll be sure to reply as fast as possible. Thank you again!

May 24, 20251 yr You need to drop a GPU card into that computer. They are expensive right now compared to what the same cards used to cost. But a good one will fix you right up (assuming that you have a 600 watt or larger PSU power supply). 600 watts will run a 4070 card (not super not ti). It's what powers mine and the power supply never shuts down. Look at the size of the gpu cards (the width). If it is too wide (number of slots and inches of the width), then it won't fit inside the computer. If space is limited, buy the thinnest card of the type you want. edit: My computer case is small. When I decided on a 4070, I bought the thinnes one available. It barely fit. Another 1/8" wide and it would not have fit. I used this video to choose (I was only concerned with the width numbers): Edited May 24, 20251 yr by Fielder 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Sadly, it won't run locally, either 2024 or 2020. I'm not even sure you can run FSX with good detail and decent FPS (30 sustained, no stutters or blurries) there. If you want to run 2024, your best choice would be either GeForce Now or Xbox Cloud Gaming (included in the top Game Pass tier). 2020 can run in Cloud Gaming too.
