MSFS 2020 AI Gear Visibility Issue

Featured Replies

I am wondering if this is a problem for anyone else. The nose and main gear of the AI aircraft (regardless of the model) is not visible from a certain distance, which looks really odd and sort of breaks the immersion.

Asobo, in an attempt to increase performance because of user complaints, drastically altered the LOD distances in the sim in various updates over the years.

It is a problem for everyone, and it should have been corrected years ago.

Main landing gear is usually always visible for me it's the nose gear that is not visible until the plane get's close enough.

The main landing gear is visible from a slightly greater distance than the nose wheels, but it absolutely does disappear at a distance close enough to notice it.

Must be an impossible fix...very hard on frames I guess😑

No and No, just a failure to understand how LODs work properly from the developers, something they've struggled with since the beginning.

I am also a bit frustrated about this, immersion breaker for sure...Is there a voting for this topic on MSFS2024 forum?

Same observation here but in MSFS2024. Its quite noticeable.
