When starting FFTF this weekend, I'm getting the following message:

“Offline usage limit reached: Application cannot connect with FSPS servers. Please get online or allow traffic for FSPS applications through your firewall”.

Seems like it's happened before based on a quick search. Anyone else having this issue?

On a side note, I absolutely cannot stand how I've paid money for these products that absolutely have no reason to be connected to the servers at all, and my continued usage of them all depends on whether or not the company keeps their servers online.

If it remains inaccessible it might be prudent to contact SimMarket who sell it.

I suppose it is in the EULA somewhere that you don't buy the software, just the right to use it.

Just checked, still down. Have raised a ticket. 

A quick search shows this has happened before, and was a more widespread .Net problem...so hopefully that's what this is and it will be back up soon. We'll see. 

I can't active the Augsburg airport add-on, also from FSPS. Hopefully resolved soon.

I tried to contact Customer Support today. It’s down too. A 404 Error.  I’m hoping they haven’t ceased trading.

Huge shame that we are about to lose such a pivotal tool just because it has no online access.  

I have two SIM computers, one of which also runs P3D v4, and I used FFTF there as well.
I started the program just for fun, and hey presto, it works.
The error message I got with V5 no longer appears, so there must be a counter somewhere in the registry or the EXE file.
Since I haven't flown V4 in ages, that's probably why it still works.
Yesterday I flew with V5 again, and the V5 version still worked there.
It's really annoying, but we have to accept that P3D and the associated program are disappearing more and more frequently.
Even after paying so much money for everything.
The situation is similar with the Black Marble products. The software is no longer usable there either (even the settings no longer work) because there is no connection to the server.

If they're abandoning their product, they should stop selling it. It's still for sale at SIMMARKET. The FFTF store is offline and the server is still down. Like others here, I really like it and will miss it. I wish they could have pushed out an update to remove the server requirement before they went dark. Honestly, until now I never knew there was a server requirement.

I have had same problem but did get a response from Achilles at FSPS on my ticket that they would reset servers. The FSPS ticket system has now gone down as can’t access ticket so they are either trying to fix it or have died. I scoured the registry to find a key that as storing the “number of offline uses” and couldn’t find one although I agree that must be the case. Reinstalled mine have cleaned all registry entries manually but can’t reactivate without a server. Think I might write to Simmarket to either get a refund or get them to put pressure on the vendor to issue an app with no server comm requirements if they are just abandoning it for P3Dv4 but not 5 or 6.

Mine doesn't work on 5.4.
