Air Canada Flight 304

Featured Replies

I don't normally fly PAX flights...I saw a (fictional) retro Air Canada livery on Flightsim.to...and as an amateur repainter I thought...hey, maybe I can "tweak" that livery a little bit...

ACA Flight 304 is a real world (daily) flight from Vancouver to Montreal. (I believe the aircraft then carries on to Paris - CDG.)

Anyway, I thought this flight was worthy of of pictorial history with a cool retro livery, albeit, fictional!

Hope you enjoy the photos!

Nice set!

Thanks John!

Beautiful livery! I have been on that flight several times over the years when visiting family. I'm going to install that livery for my next flight.

Thanks for the feedback! The original (FS.to) livery is pretty good, particularly the interior mods and the bilingual signage...there were a few things on the fuselage I didn't like on the original...I made mine to closer match an A320 (real world livery from the 90's) that I painted last year.

As of now, I'm not planning to publish this B77W livery.

Very fine shots 👍 Well done this paint tweak !

I am also traveling almost exclusively with the B777-300 at the moment - super good to fly, IMO !

cheers 😉

Thank you! It was your recent posts here that got me back into the PMDG 777-300 (mostly flying the B77F...she flies so much nicer in MSFS tan she did in P3D...IMHO.

Thanks Dave!

I would love to see this livery return...and I think it looks great on the B77W!

Who else to render the perfect Air Canada (Retro) livery here than yourself, rmeier...🙂...Amateur repainter is a bit of an under-statement...I think...🙂...

I have always liked that (original) Maple Leaf Roundel Air Canada livery with the classic cheatline. I do recall you'd done this Retro AC livery in a couple of other MSFS airliners...I forget which ones...

BTW, this (fictional) livery sports the light red texture...unless my eyes are playing a trick...🙂...and goes back to even earlier times than the (later) darker red colored livery of the same pattern...

Thanks for sharing...!

Thank you P_7878!

This fictional livery represents what was still seen in the early to mid-90's on Air Canada aircraft (the two tone red cheatline). The single red stripe was introduced (IIRC) in the mid-60's.

You are correct, I modeled this repaint after the delivery livery of Air Canada's first A320 (C-FDQQ).

Definitely a classic...and my preferred AC livery. I think the wider cheatlines look much nicer on the 773.

Thanks again for the feedback! (...and for the record, I'm still learning from every repaint...hence the "amateur" moniker!  🙂 )

Thank you...and agreed!!!  🙂

MSFS2020 is also performing so well for me...haven't felt the need (yet) to upgrade to 2024.  🙂

Beautiful shots Ron!

The best ACA livery in my opinion. 😊

I painted it on the iFly 747 years ago and remains one of my favorites to this day. (the 747 looks GREAT in this livery)

I will probably paint it again in 2020/2024 when we see a 747-400 arrive on the scene.
