Is this the final preview of the preview of the final final that is going to go Beta-Final on the final day of the Month of August?

And … is that your final answer? 🙂

This guy's youtube videos are mostly BS.

  • Contrary to a few comments here, I enjoy this guy. He has helped me with a few videos about frame Gen for the 3080 the same card I have, amounst others. There's a lot worse presenters out there.

He flies around tiny islands in what appears to be an addon from FS9 and says the performance is better?

I commented on one of his videos that he should demo the stutter reduction at Heathrow in the Fenix...... Not being rude, it's just I would like to see if he has the same miserable experience as me.

Like most, I'm hanging out for this update. Tobii, etc...

Nope, SU's are mandatory.

Shame because 2024 is running so well and I have no idea why. FPS are always 80+ and no stuttering. Could be the Fenix BFU though (it's all I have flown in recent week or so).

Unless they foul something up at the last minute, people have no reason to fear this update.

While some things we are waiting for will no doubt follow in SU4, my experience with SU3 .23 is generally good for stability and performance.
Certainly more good than bad.  Sometimes it is the little things I like.  Aircraft lighting in particular - real strobes at last!

How about image quality (i’m not an FPS chaser)?  That video seemed VERY blurry to me.

On the latest SU3 Beta and live WX still cannot correctly portray a thunderstorm....I had lighting bolts coming out of fair weather cumulus clouds on approach to KMCO on last flight. Not sure why weather is not a top priority in a flight sim....

What video are you referring to? It is a series of static images that seem to look OK to me

I fly in 4k on a 4k monitor and it looks pin sharp to me.

The only thing I had a problem with was cloud quality, but they admitted they induced the problem by accident early in SU3, found the problem and corrected it around SU3. 19.

All good now and back to how they were.

PS. Yes, I noticed that and I don't like his videos, but maybe he recorded them in 1080 or something.

Ugh, the dreaded 1080p. How on Earth did we survive?:wink:

Is the latest SU3 beta limited to 256x256 ground textures still? Are we NEVER back to hi-res aerials?

Yeah I heard a noise about this, but not sure exactly what the kerfuffle is about.  I thought it only related to third party textures like the map replacement.

If they have reduced it, it is probably to help the VRAM issue.  I certainly haven't noticed any problem though.
Maybe some of the road markings are not so sharp, but I have nothing to check against now.  Still acceptable at 4k - for me anyway.

Well as all of the MSFS2024 related content is also BS or garbage.

Nothing but content creators looking for revenue. There is no need to re-post this garbage on a forum. If anyone wants to watch this stuff they can go find it on YouTube themselves.

I would recommend not wasting ones time watching this stuff as the vast majority is from people who seems to know more than the rest of us or have inside information. Complete Comedy!

I agree, its very easy to get 'good performance', even on a potato pc, flying around little islands surrounded by water.  Places barely any stress on the system.

Whilst he has posted the odd good video they are often repeats of the same subject matter.  I mean how many latest driver videos do we need to see?  Before that he was obsessed with DLSS swapper type tutorials.
