Quite frankly I never thought much of Lelystad show. The ones in England were always better.

I'm 62. I've found if you turn up as a respectable looking older Brit everything is much easier...everywhere.

If you see something you like at Lelystad simply go home and order it over the 'net? 

The Lelystad show is the biggest in Europe no? If you didn't like it that's unfortunate but it seems unlikely anything bigger and better will be produced in the UK now?

My brother has just retired at the age of 56. He is eighteen months younger than I am

Out of choice or necessity? I did start work at 16 and worked full time for nearly 46 years. Pity many of the younger generation don’t. To many NEETs. 🤨

Necessity. My mortgage runs til then and my ruinous divorce has left me at 51 with sweet FA.

I am 73 tomorrow and still working.
I don't need to, but it keeps me going.
Retirement is not for everyone, just as work isn't. 

On the topic, my work is involved with events and I can see the logistics and cost of setting up a show
from the inside.
Then the exhibitors have to pay to exhibit, the public have to attend and spend to justify the cost
and it might be that for a UK Flightsim show, the numbers no longer add up.
