October 3, 2025Oct 3 Do you mean for a website, like from a US based news outlet? I've had that happen from Germany. It's strange. It may have something to do with cookies policies. From an AI generated search: The EU and UK block US websites due to different legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy (like the EU's GDPR) and child safety laws (like the UK's Online Safety Act), which US publishers may not comply with, opting to block access instead of reconfiguring their sites. The thing I looked at applied to EU and UK though, if you see the part in italics (maybe some others as well). Anyway, Avsim is fine for me, but I've seen it on local news sites on occasion. I used to have a VPN with my anti-virus up until recently, but have cancelled it. A free VPN might work too though.

There are linked images all over the internet that are permanently no longer visible to UK based users. If you want to know where an image is hosted, you only need to copy the image address and paste it into Notepad.
