It's imgur.

Confirmed, thanks. I visited incur.com and this was displayed. Seems a bit pointless when users in other countries aren’t affected. Or not yet perhaps.

The Law of unintended consequences. 🤨 You wonder how long companies like Imgur can last if this continues.

I have no issues. British Isles, but not UK or EU.

The Channel Islands are actually "Crown Dependencies" and are not part of the UK or EU, so will likely be insulated from a lot of the egregious rules and regulations that plague other countries - for the time being, at least.  Being an offshore financing hub certainly helps in this regard as well.

I think you made a smart decision to move there, Martin.

If Imgur are paying to advertise here but their ads are being blocked by certain countries this has consequences. Hopefully no other companies are affected.

Are you kidding? This thing is going to have far reaching consequences for the UK as time goes on Ray.

Martin over in Jersey isn't effected by it as the government of Jersey refused to implement this very, very poor piece of legislation.

Meanwhile us Brits on Avsim are protected from seeing harmful pictures of....aeroplanes🤷‍♂️

I have no idea how things will pan out Arthur. Hopefully nothing that will affect this site’s income. As I don’t view anything dodgy that side is irrelevant.

Neither do most people but that's the problem. This legislation is so poorly thought out that right now, in the name of protecting children from accessing harmful websites, you and I are unable to view pictures of something as mundane as an aeroplane....

....and yes, among the far reaching consequences will be a loss of advertising revenue as those companies buying advertising space will expect to fork out less since their adverts will now be unavailable to 68 million Brits....

There are alternatives. Dropbox gives free space up to a reasonable limit. That should work.

How about flickr?

I can see that one, so presumably Flickr has not yet been taken over by the Illuminati.

Not to worry, though, as all this is for our own good, and for the children, of course.  It has nothing to do with more control or censorship, the powers that be promise us this and we should trust them.😉

Probably, in this case, but both Bailiwicks do adopt UK regs from time to time.

Indeed, but early in the thread, yesterday, Ray asked me what I see, so I told him.
