Hi,

to answer a few questions:

The Xbox controller is not connected.
SPAD.next and the Airbus TCA are disabled, and I still have the same problems.
The parking brake still does not respond.

I still believe that there is a fundamental underlying issue.

I have reinstalled MSFS 2024 and Fenix, but during the installation my camera settings were still there. I think that when I uninstalled Fenix, it might not have been completely removed.

Do you have any tips on how to cleanly uninstall Fenix before reinstalling it?

If I can’t make any progress today, I will contact the developer directly. I already posted in their Discord, but so far I haven’t received any tips that actually fix the issue.

Remember that your control settings are stored in the cloud, so a reinstall doesn't necessarily mean you've cleared those.

What you're describing sounds like another axis or key is assigned to the brake(s) and is fighting with your primary assigned control.

I have had weirdness at times and found that cycling through all the control profiles back to the one you want somehow removed what appeared to be lingering phantom assignments (probably in the cloud) that were not visible in the controls GUI.

Also, you have to go into the controls menu and open every listed controller and scroll all the way down to ensure that there are no unintended assignments in any controller.

I was about to write something in the direction as Bob did, above. Since in 2024 there are assignable profiles per input device and per aircraft, please check that those (HW device) are still correctly mapped to the current A320 (Aircraft), as sometimes in my case my Fenix profile gets lost and needs to be selected again for my TCA, especially after updates to 2024.

Also, did you set the TCA settings as recommended by Fenix?

What helps me when checking assignments of any kind but specifically for stick and throttle is to have the plane up and running, preferable on the ground, and then select the controller menu through that menu bar overlay (instead of hitting escape --> settings --> controls) as if going through that on screen menue you can instantaenously see how the plane reacts to your assignment changes and curve tweaks

First of all, thanks for the answers.

But I wanted to go into more detail because I really want to understand it.

Okay, let’s say the assignments are wrong… but if I move the mouse to the parking brake and can actually see it moving, yet the aircraft still keeps rolling — is it still caused by incorrect assignments?

In the video I also showed that I operate the parking brake with the mouse and it still doesn’t react.

That should indeed not be due to a wrong assignment if you enable the parking brake and the plane does still keep rolling - unless there is an assignment which immediately disabled the break again but you would visually see it in the cockpit

Hi everyone,

I’m already one step further… First of all, I did not change any of my settings or bindings in MSFS 2024 with my hardware. Not because I want to ignore the tips here, but because, based on my gut feeling, I don’t think the issue is caused by that.

Of course, I’m still keeping this option open and will try it if I can’t find another solution.

Earlier today, I uninstalled Fenix and also deleted the folder
Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe, specifically the folder under
SimObjects\Airplanes\FNX_32X.

In addition, I deleted the folder
Local State\WASM\MSFS2024\fnx-aircraft-320.

Then I started MSFS 2024, and surprisingly, I can now apply thrust normally and the aircraft no longer pulls back.

I tried 3–4 takeoffs and was able to depart normally.

However, what still doesn’t work is the parking brake… it does not respond at all.

What I also noticed is that after reinstalling, my Fenix camera settings were still there. That surprised me, because after deleting those folders I expected the camera settings to be gone as well. This makes me suspect that I may not have removed everything completely.

In MSFS 2020, as far as I know, the Fenix camera settings were stored in a CFG file inside the Fenix folder.

Is this different in MSFS 2024? Are the camera settings now saved directly within MSFS 2024?

That’s why I want to be sure that I performed a clean uninstall. I can finally start the aircraft now, but as mentioned, the parking brake still does not work.

Good to hear you are progressing. Yes, deleting the WASM folders MAY have helped some in other cases. Anyway as per parking brake and clean install I suggest you contact the Fenix support eg through their Discord.

+1 - I usually get an answer from them in about 2 minutes whenever I post a question about an issue on there. Just make sure to state the problem clearly.

Hi,

Yes, I also posted my problem in the Fenix Discord channel, but I received responses very slowly there.
I mostly got the standard replies, telling me to delete all my settings because the hardware bindings were probably incorrect.

No one told me exactly which folder or folders I should delete. I came up with that idea myself.
There was also no reaction at all regarding the parking brake issue.

Since I still haven’t solved the parking brake problem, I’m not sure whether deleting the two Fenix folders really resulted in a clean uninstall.
Because my camera settings were still present afterward — and here I also don’t know, and no one told me, whether camera settings in MSFS 2024 are stored directly in the simulator, or if it’s still like in 2020, where the camera.cfg file was saved in a separate folder.

Out of curiosity, are you using FSRealistic?

I had a similar issue, and it turned out I had forgotten to disengage the pushback from the aircraft (default fenix pushback). Even though it looked like the tug was no longer connected, the nose gear was still locked and not responding to my inputs.I only realized this after the aircraft had already exited the runway, but fortunately I managed to stop in time.
