And ready for testing. Not long now until humans once more orbit the Moon.

Would it not be funny if there was a tiny pot bellied pig crew member? Or maybe a cat?

I watched a few minutes of an interview with the Artemis astronauts the other day.  They were on site at Cape Canaveral and you could see the rocket being slowly transported to the pad.

It's pretty cool that we'll get to see missions to the moon in my lifetime.  I wasn't yet born when the first astronauts landed on the moon.

I always envied people who were adults or teenagers in 1968 and got to watch the moon landing.  Now I'll get to do it, too!

I was 10, Dave. Watched it on TV with my mom and dad.

I was 12, it was in July of 1969.

I was 19. Watched it with my parents and girl who later became my wife.

Did anyone think to to a tape recording of the original landing while it was going on live?  I wish I had.

Did we have any means of recording the TV back in 1969?  I don't recall any.  I was 14+1 day.  They were originally supposed to land on my birthday, July 19th, but they pushed it back a day.  Still mad at NASA😡

Oh well, they all came home safe so all is well.

Pray for this newest crew about to launch.

I was 13, and the picture tube on our TV had died a couple of days before but the sound still worked, so I heard the landing but did not get to “see” it!

There may have been reel to reel TV tape machines, but they weren't in public use, far as I know. Studios obviously had them.

What I was talking about was a standard audio recording. I had a tape recorder at the time.
