January 23Jan 23 My 2020 install was moved to an ancient 500GB sata SSD to free up my MSFS dedicated M.2 for my first ever 2024 install, about six months ago. I think I've run 2020 maybe 2-3 times since them. 2020 will go when I get around to futzing with Linux again, which was the previous sole occupant of that sata SSD on my prior build. Thanks for reading. January 23Jan 23 No! I routinely fly both. Still have valued sophisticated aircraft that are not compliant in 2024. May be due to 3rd party developers that took wonderful liberties with 2020 and lack, at least until now, the ability to duplicate those in 2024. Unaware if that is based on target 2024 design criteria. Please note that I am a PC user and have never tried and have no interest in xbox. I am making no statement here. Just confused by what might be the cause for some 3rd party development delays, and sad about it. In any case, I find enjoyment in 2024, and appreciation still for what 2020 separately provides in some instances. I knew a number of members here who continued to fly both FSX and xPlane back in the days before MSFS 2020, and a number who embrace still today versions of xPlane and MSFS. January 23Jan 23 Since SU3, I am using MSFS 2024 only. I backed up my MSFS 2020 Community folder in advance to reuse some payware airports in MSFS 2024. Greets, Markus Win11Pro - i713700KF - RTX3080Ti

Will I regret deleting it? Do I need this legacy simulator on my system for nostalgic revists in the future?? What did you do? How much space did you free up on your HD?
January 23Jan 23 I kept 2020 for at least a year - until it was deleted to free up space. I never flew in 2020 after 2024 was installed on release day. January 23Jan 23 I kept both installed for a bit. Very early last year I started doing all my flights in 24, but kept 2020 as a perceived fallback in case something bad happened. But the day never came for me. So I totally removed 2020 late last year. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
