My poor, abused wallet…!

Video looks pretty good: A2A refuel, and some actual A2G and A2A - with ordnance strikes(!).

I don’t really care about combat in MSFS, but it’ll be interesting to see how well they’ve pulled it off.

As long as it handles nicely and has a decent nav system, it could be a great addon. Interested to see how well the delta+canard works in MSFS, too 🙏

  • I prefer Justflight’s Bae Hawk T1/A. It’s a two-seat trainer jet, has quite some system modeled and flies wonderfully.

I'm really enjoying the Aero Dynamics T-38 Talon. Comes with both A (steam gauge) and C (glass) versions.

Just to provide a little something different - I really love the OV-10 Bronco by Azur Poly. The cockpit is absolutely stunning.

The A2A refueling is super cool (NB: it's a "Airshow Assistant" feature, not from this Rafale), but I wish there would be a way to make it work in multiplayer :/

The S2000 was the first to do it, with two F16s and a rumored F15EX coming out soon enough, i hope this is being passed around as industry secret for other devs! Cant imagine how sick if we saw this more

I was just about to get the CJ simulations Typhoon in the just flight summer sale however I think I’ll save my pennies and put them towards this which is out next week,($45)…. if I can just hold on for another few days…

Yep - this is one I’ve been following with great anticipation for awhile.

AFAIK this is their most ambitious project ever (a 4.5 Gen jet).

It seems they’ve gone to great lengths to achieve high systems fidelity and great graphics.

There is at least some team crossover with the DCS World version, as well. So…🤞

I’m rather partial to the Rafale’s aesthetics. And since the Rafale M is a thing IRL, I’m going to use it to visit all the MilTech carriers, as well 😎

Cautiously optimistic! 🙏

Top Mach Studios just released their rebuilt for FS24 F-22 Raptor in the last week or so, too:

From what I’ve been able to gather from screenshots so far, the cockpit textures don’t seem to be as nice as their previous YF-23. It’s probably not as lackluster as the T-7, but I’m picky that way. And as always, the MFD’s are (per force) mostly guesswork. I’d have loved it if they took the same path as they did with putting an F-15 Cockpit in the F-23👍

For me, it’s a must have. But I’m going to wait for the holiday sale, esp since the YF-23 still scratches my SuperCruise itch 😎

(And that F-5B they snuck in to the last package)

I was just reading the detailed feature list again, and while much of the usual Hi Fi stuff is present, there’s a lot of good/new as well: https://azurpolygroup.com/dassault-rafale/

Terrain following radar & display

Accurate ILS symbology and synthetic runway display in the HUD

“Accurate”(?) canard-delta flight model with fully custom FbW logic (this is the type of complex FM stuff that MSFS has struggled with for so long)

Extensive nav systems and flight plan management. Apparently the thing will do at least basic LNAV, and IIRC, advisory VNAV, too. 😎

And avoids one bugaboo that affects MOST MSFS addons: dynamic afterburner effects that take into effect atmospheric and altitude conditions. This seems minor until you compare most to IRL imagery

though it’s not at all a purchase criteria, I am interested to see how well they’ve been able to shoehorn in the ordnance effects and related systems. If nothing else, it’s good to see boundaries getting pushed.

And many other notable features that make this particular addon seem like it might be one of the very best .mil addons in any flight sim, and a genuinely good airplane in its own right

Uh oh… between this and the Taog’s Dauphin, I might be in danger of becoming a Francophile🇫🇷 ! 🤣
