  • Not to mention those planes are dull and boring.   The Legacy is a pilot's plane.  Plenty to do or you might kill yourself.

  • Right up my very limited GA flying alley. Immediate purchase!

It's quite a surprise considering Flysimware is doing the same plane...  Analog and Glass panels with normally aspirated and turbocharged/Reno Racer version.

A2A says they'll have a few options in the cockpit like custom G5s (hopefully a better version of the Les/TimHH mod), different GPS and an HSI option.

I'll be buying both for sure though.

It's like my dream come true LOL.  The Lancair Legacy is the fastest piston single!  And my personal favorite plane of all time.

Is that second picture the simulator? I can’t tell anymore.

It looks good if it is, I was expecting glass screens everywhere.

Yes, I think Scott is a more traditional flyer.

In real world I prefer glass all day but I like either in the sim.

I’m reluctant to let my old steam dial skills deteriorate any further than they already have, but I’m starting to warm to the convenience of glass and GPS.

Either way I’ll be buying this machine, looks fun.

I first learned to fly in a piper warrior with all analog.  And a KLN90B.  I think I'm a lot younger than you but it shows how fast the avionics world has changed.  In my airspace at work (which is massive, about 400 miles across and 200 miles north to south), we have no more NDB approaches (actually we might have one), and many of the airways had dropped off, with the VORs turning into DME only.

For USA busy airspace flying I would at least want a tablet with stratus but at the moment the musketeer I fly has a GNS430W with TIS-B so it's super helpful... also the plane has a CGR30P engine monitor and dual Garmin G5s.

I'd kill for a Garmin Txi and GTNxi setup with GFC500 AP...  kinda like this sweet private mod for the 2024 black square Bonanza done by ZachB.  I'm trying to talk Nick into making it a reality for others - I've had over 30 people DM me about it.  Can't share it at the moment though 😞

I mean, the only better view out a cockpit comes from sitting in an F-16! 😁

Yeah, stick the knife in why don’t you 😂

My 787 didn’t even get optioned with NDBs.

I don’t think there’s any way I’d want to be flying in the US with all that airspace with old map and compass techniques in the real world anymore.

You can probably just about still get away with it in the U.K. I suppose, but an iPad and moving map would be better.

While I think glass is the way to go IRL, I generally prefer analog in the sim.  It's the whole screen displaying a screen thing that bugs me.  That said, this really does look intriguing.  Would love to give that a try, so keep working on Nick! 🙂

No more A2A for me. Terrible support. My native 2024 Comanche fills the tanks completely opposite. I tried support on their website and was completely ignored by A2A.

They were always the best going way back, now their support is horrible.

I bought every one of their planes for FSX and P3D and 2024 too.

Are you sure it's not just a miscommunication?  They're more active on discord but there's plenty of support at the forums as well.  Seems pretty harsh to claim that about A2A of all devs...  I've had no issues with them myself.

My post is still up and a new one today. Have you seen how many people have submitted bug reports? It appears to me the Comanche has so many problems they can’t keep up. I’m disillusioned now. But they have resources to announce a new plane?

The PA24 is working very well here.  I'm not seeing any bugs at all personally.

Can you link me your post? EDIT I found it.  I asked on their discord if someone can take a look at your post.

I just checked in sim.  It's working fine for me.  Confirming you're talking about the 2024 NATIVE Comanche right?  Not the 2020 version installed into 24?  I turned on the battery master to watch the fuel needles move while I add or subtract fuel.

Yes, 100% positive it's native. On my last PC two weeks ago with 2024 I first had the non-native one then I bought the Native one. Then when I got the new PC, new 2024 install and a brand new download from A2A which was native. If I click the fill buttons it goes empty. I have to use the + sign to fill the tanks, then if I click on any of the low, med, or full buttons, bam, it literally flies down to zero.
