Not interested in FS 2020, that's history... Just hope they offer a free or a not expensive upgrade...

Please do yourself a favour and read at least the very first post of this thread:

Improved, yes (I assume you're talking about flight guidance).  Perfect yet?  Not quite.  But plenty usable.  I feel like the LNAV flight guidance improvements kind of work in harmony with the smoothi

Here is hoping they can bring their 747-400 rendition to MSFS 2024. I think it was a really good addon in P3D.

  • SP1 will be the last stage for both simulators, MSFS 2020 aswell as 2024. After that development is 24 only.

The only thing I'm not clear about: Will the 2024 version of this release at the same time as 2020 version or will it be delayed?

Same time. SP1 is for MSFS 20 AND 24.

Ok, now I see why I skipped it in your OP: I don't use any support based on Discord, ever!

So... I usually skip products with only Discord support, the MAX having been an eception because I originally purchased it for P3D from Flight1, and was using the Flight1 iFly! forums back then...

So, I assume it'll first release for 2020, for free, then for 2024, but that 2024 version I isn't clear if it's going to be free or payware AFAICT...

Still confused, eh? It has already released. This is a service pack for both 2020 and 2024 that will release at the same time when it's ready.

You seem to have some "knowledge" 😉

A couple of questions therfore:

1) Can you finally modify runway length in the EFB calcs? (intersections etc.)
2) Will it finally go to VNAV SPD mode when enabling VNAV when high on the path? Or will it still dive down at 8000 FPM in VNAV PTH mode?
3) Can it finally do the live recalculation of the vertical path when modifying restrictions or waypoints in the legs page without executing them?

1 and 2 I have not tried yet in the new build but they've been discussed so I assume yes.  I'll probably try it again later, I'll check.

3, yes.  Also Altn Dest will be enabled, and also FPA and VB to any waypoint including the runway in the descent page.

Have they improved the HUD

This is a chief complaint I have for all HUDs:  I really wish the developer could allow the graphic to be zoomed in/out independent of the rest of primary VC camera and that because it's a challenge to get the graphics to appear where you want them, sized and centered, AND have your primary camera in the VC just right as well.

That's great to hear. I really hope 2 will be fixed, it's incredibly annoying to fly like that whenever I come from another aircraft (I know the early 737NGs had that software version but IIRC there was an additional speed function on the DES page that could control the behaviour; anyway I assume the MAXs don't have that software version anymore).

Oh and I asked for no 1. on the Discord and they said it's still non-editable. I really hope they update that.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Shown is SP1b (SP1 will be free for all existing customers when it releases soon) in MSFS 2020, all will be available  in MSFS 2024 also when released. All screenshots below taken from the now finished stream. Unfortunately there's no replay option (as of yet).

Impressive. The EFB looks more user friendly now.

Same question from me. Any mention of this during the stream?

First, I have zero inside info, so take this with a grain of salt...but the video that I watched that showed the new tablet interface did show and demo the new panel saving function, and it seemed to work really well.

I finally found the time to watch Stearmandriver's Twitch stream in its entirety and at my leisure.

The level of detail in the upcoming SP1 (check it out around minute 45) is...unrivaled. Wow!
