Aerosoft - EDDS Stuttgart released

Featured Replies

I saw it in A330 videos. Jo is a magician. The level of detail, making the terminal and the jetways walkable, a perfect combination for the Fenix Airbus fleet.

Does EDDS Stuttgart still have that area of generic terrain scenery around it, or has that been fixed by this product?

EDIT: I have just read the features list, and it apparently has a Custom aerial image covering the airport boundary and close vicinity, so that sounds good. This airport was not on my target list, but with fixed terrain photoscenery surrounding the airport, custom landmark models, massively detailed terminal interior modelling, and the name Jo Erlend Sund associated with it, I may just have to check it out.

I bought it, flew in and walked around it in avatar mode. It's crazy detailed. Working escalators and elevators. I took the elevator up to the visitors terrace checked the clock, which was showing the correct time and then watched the flights currently live on Vatsim depart.

looks delightful

Sounds really cool! How is performance? EDDS being only mid sized should help here. I guess I will buy that one at one point.

cheers,

For me I find the performance to be amazing considering the details both inside and out.  EDDS is yet another advancement in our silly little hobby of toy airplanes flying to imaginary destinations.  YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies,

Modern flight simulation is not exclusively about flight simulation, Pete. Microsoft Flight Simulator is part of the "digital twin Earth" concept, and therefore the ability to wander around and explore the airport on foot is not all that surprising to me. Anyway, I like massively detailed interiors. They add to the immersion considerably for me.

I know as long as the eye candy doesnt affect proformance I couldnt care less what they model inside the terminal

I work on the airport premises. You can look into our office building. That hopefully says something about how detailed this scenery is… even allowing for retracing your own steps. Insane.

I've only seen a glimpse in the preview so far but I will be filing a bug report if we aren't in the final product 🤣
