OCI Basepack Release by AIG

Featured Replies

afraid not you just have to wait till it downloads dont worry it will finish

I tested the basepack install and t took about 20 minutes to install. It should not take 3 hours. Maybe there's something wrong with his method of installing the AIG Basepack.

That's awesome news for new users! Your fleet is the best, and I've tried them all. I love to know what airliners did you include? I want to ensure that I'm not missing any. I downloaded 180

After four hours I gave up.

Might try again later. I am just wonderin what could be the problem with my “method”, after all it seems to be simple, very simple.

Latest version: AIG_AIManager_1.4.0.1

Right click on .exe (AIGTech - AI Manage) and check run as admin.

Create a folder where you want the basepack installed. I created one named AI Traffic on my D drive.

Run AIGTech - AI Manager

Install basepack. Choose folder. Let it install. It should not take more than 30 min.

Thank you! Now it worked as you wrote. I needed to re-download AIM (if that was it, at least it helped).

Next problem: "Setup OCI" -> nothing happens.

Tried this yesterday. When you download and run AIG Manager, it updates itself and a window pops up asking you to select an oci folder location. If you do this, the "download basepack" button will disappear. This is sure to catch out new users and maybe lead them start downloading one of the oci packs instead which would take a long time.

The basepack took me under 10 minutes to download.

So I'm a little confused. Do I need to update the flightplans if I just want the liveries? Download and install the basepack and done? If I rerun AI Manager it says that flightplans need to be installed and there are updates.

Join the club...I've clicked 'Install Flightplans' and it's downloading hundreds of executive jet models I don't want....Hmmmm

...

no issues at my end but iam only using msfs so maybe its only effecting p3d users

After you install the basepack, you only install the flightplans for the airliners you want.

When you load the AIG Manager in the future it will tell you if you need to update SimObjects. Click update. DONE!

But how? AIG Manager said I had no flightplans and no simobjects installed, though the Basepack installed OK...it's as though AIG Manager doesn't know about the basepack. I cancelled the 'flightplan' install and now AIG manager thinks I have 25 simobjects.
Tempted to delete everything and start again...

Follow my instructions on how to install the basepack.

Well I did...will try again.

Although the basepack 'worked' I have for instance only got 2 B737-800s, for 9 Air and 7 Air.

Should I run 'setup_OCI' before downloading the basepack?

EDIT The OCI folder in Community is no longer pointing at the folders downloaded for the basepack, will fix that.

EDIT2 Thats better, now updating flightplans - I think running 'Setup OCI' broke it.

Yeah, if I have to iteratively update after an install, I'm not going to waste my time. I'll just stick with FSLTL models until such time as a basepack install is truly one click - I don't need AIG to push traffic - I'm using BATC or MSFS live traffic for that.

You are going to lose a lot of beautiful business Jet models. Trust me! It's worth learning how to install the FPs and models. You don't have to update. Maybe once a month you run the AP.

I edited my post to clarify that I don't need AIG to inject the traffic - I just would like the models. If that can be done with just installing the basepack and doing nothing else, great.
