iFly 737 Max version 1.1.0.0 is out now

Is it just me, or does this update kind of suck?

I also noticed the weird VNAV behavior as well as GS hunting on approach. Also felt terrible when hand flying on approach. Turbulence set to Low and the wind was only 10 knots.

I experienced weird flight dynamics last summer but that was in extreme conditions - 40C weather in Las Vegas with 30 knot winds. Never experienced this before in the iFly in normal conditions.

This was after loading up the plane a second time after first loading in just to take a look at the plane without flying it. I even rebooted the PC in between.

Also worth remembering: any time you install a WASM aircraft, it's a good idea to not try to fly it off the first load. Load up on the ground somewhere, and then exit back to main menu and load the fl

  • Very happy with this SP1. EFB awesome. Hand flies very nice. Systems seem spot on. Performance really good too. My new Boeing favourite.

  • I'm mostly still flying the PMDG 737, so I'm watching the iFly from a little distance, but steady updates like this are a good sign. For me the interesting part is less the version number and more whe

Cannot use performance data due to being unable to load a RWY. It takes the airport ID, but cannot select a runway. Navigraph is set correctly.

I was able to do this.

RAAS works in 2024 now, nice.

can't wait for a GSX profile update so it will use the air stairs.

Yes it blew me away when I heard the RAAS telling me what rwy I was approachung.

2 flights great flights performance was great (MSFS 2024). Install as they tell you delete everything they say. Nice to have weather radar and a very intuitive EFB. Great update way to go IFLY!!

You've definitely got some kind of a conflict going on here. The manual flight model on this thing is fantastic! I've also never seen VNAV hunt for an altitude, nor did this come up during testing, and that's at least a few dozen people evaluating, almost all of them 73 pilots or instructors or mechanics. So, to hear you and LRBS report this is pretty strange. Same with hunting the glideslope on approach? I couldn't tell you how many autolands and manual AIIIs I've done in testing and never seen anything like that, it's been rock solid.

Any chance you could grab a video?

It might just be you. I had a flawless flight in it. Performed excellently, hand flew nice (which V1 also always did) and the new EFB is stellar compared to the old one.

We'll see what others chime in and say,

Not sure if I will get to fly it this weekend, but will try reinstalling it first and then fly it again when I get the chance.

If the issue persists, I will make a video.

I classify that as a good problem to have! 😁👍

Given the feedback I'm seeing on multiple sites, it's probably something at your end.

Strange. Panel and route saving were tested pretty extensively and seem solid. Not sure what might be going on there.

As far as perf data, did you click the button to read MSFS data for runway information?

Note that selecting takeoff thrust in the EFB is just for calculations; you have to select your thrust rating and assumed temp in the N1 page of the EFB. Reduced thrust takeoffs work correctly.

Curious, 2020 or 2024? Turbulence settings? I've never seen any fishing with VNAV, it's been rock solid since the original re-tune months ago.

I’m looking very closely at this bird.

Does the VNAV throw the nose over and try to overspeed you with a high CI at the top of descent? If not, it’s not a study level 737!!! I kid of course but I’m somewhat serious. Would be cool if it did.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Just did my first flight had one issue, tried the auto land everything was going fine than the nosed pitched up than did a nose dive to the ground where i couldn't recover from. Going to do the flight again see if it happens again

Any additional info would be great. I haven't heard other reports of this but I don't follow the public discord too closely either; we'll see if any of those mods report anything similar.

A video or any other information would be great. I know they'll want to chase this down. I can't remember if you mentioned which sim, but if in 2024 I wonder if it's not playing well with certain atmospheric effects? Most of the beta testing was done in 2020, but with I think about a month in 2024 so it would be weird if an issue like this didn't pop up for anyone, but maybe?

Also, any third party air effects running; Active Sky, FSRealistic or similar?

Thanks, sorry to make work for you haha, but any info could be helpful.

Haha right? It's generation 18 or something of the airplane, and VNAV is still a little unpredictable 😁.

The iFly will sometimes try to overspeed and need some brake, yeah... It's familiar in that way. I usually use my technique from the real plane, of hitting altitude intervention to start an early descent about 5nm from TOD... Works decently in the sim as well!

2 Flights so far and the plane flew and landed like a charm. No performance issues at all.
