Like Mark stated above, Anil has offered ten beta testers the chance to break the product. Sign up, and prove the rest of us wrong....

If you are ready for beta testers, why no videos of this product as it stands right now?

Haven't we had enough of subscription-based apps already? BATC found a way to offer their app without a subscription, so unless you have a human directing simulated aircraft, find a solution that does

Well if you think Ai is the answer to everything then it’s a sad state for humanity. Where does it stop? Not all changes are for the better.

The proof of the pudding will be how well this product is received. Hopefully the 10 beta testers will give their verdict when NDAs are lifted.

As far as acquiring the knowledge for FAA and ICAO's, it's all at ones fingertips via internet. It's not like one has to go to the library and use the dewy decimal system anymore. So having one or two working on this isn't so much a surprise to me, with that said... I don't expect to see a stable operational product anytime soon with just one or two on the project, even if working on the subscription based item full time.

Personally I believe they got into the game too late, BATC and SayAI have a tremendous jump on the new commers.

Too late? It's never "too late".

I’m not a fan of AI at all but I can see why Anil uses it with English being his second language. Fluff or not time will tell. This is only just moving into a selected participant closed beta stage. It seems an appropriate way to start, as it may involve testing of selected modules (as opposed to a complete product) and a comparison to real world operations by those who operate in it. Too many testers so early can just become a communication nightmare.

Cheers

As stated "AI has removed a tremendous amount of tedious work that was once done by hand". I would never say/think that AI is the answer to everything.

But where do you draw the line? We have these huge data centres being built all around Britain blighting the countryside. The price of RAM and GPUs has gone through the roof because of it. It may mean many potential simmers are priced out of buying a PC to use the software in this topic.

That Ray is the ultimate question. I am glad you asked it because that same question has been on my mind.

Don't get me wrong. I can clearly see the benefits even in the work I do however AI can also be misused and abused if there are not proper controls put in place. Look at the recent reports of AI going rogue and infiltrating other business systems. And does it have a long term, detrimental effect on peoples learning behavior if AI does all the thinking for you? These are questions the human race will need to consider and hopefully answer.

But I digress...let's come back to the original post...which I think is of smaller proportions.

Hopefully Anil will return and provide us some more info and details of how ACE will work. I do have hopes that his journey into providing a top- notch ATC solution will prove successful.

I do think that on the realism and accuracy of having ATC control traffic at demanding, high traffic, complex taxiway system airports, it means that potentially each airport has to be trained with the AI model, likely over time. Taxiways and airport layouts continue to change, operational aspects change ( e.g. a runway is out of operation due to 1 months maintenance work), so much the same as Navigraph, if you want the ultimate realism then having some type of subscription may (?) be the way to stay current, but you are not forced into it.

And with subscription, which I know many people object to, it all depends if you are locked into a weekly, monthly or annual model. If you can subscribe and unsubscribe when you want, that in my mind provides the ultimate flexibility for users.

Again those are my thoughts and ramblings of how this could play out, but i don't know enough about what Anil has planned, so I could be completely wrong here.

One cannot draw a line in regards to AI unless there is a global agreement and that will never happen! AI isn't about flight simulation and the cost of RAM, GPUs and pricing some out of the pc buying market due to data centers. It's about staying ahead of North Korea, China, Russia... Because if they get a "REAL" AI advantage going forward due to other countries stopping or limiting these data centers, the world would live to regret it, in this I have no doubt.

The result of unintended consequences. It’s a reality that isn’t going to go away for the foreseeable future.

Anyway, given I don’t have MSFS this software is of no interest to me. I simply responded to what skills are required to create a worthy ATC program. If Ai is the answer so be it.

Guys OMG!

What a thread. I was away for 2 days trying to handle the related documents required by law (which i will honestly tell what it is) I’ll read through all of it and respond back to you about what’s been going on lately.

Thanks a ton...

Can we PLEASE stop hijacking this thread? If you want to discuss AI start a thread in Hangar Chat.

Let's discuss the product not the possible method to produce it. Frankly, I don't care if AI coded the entire program, as long as it works.

That brings up a question, seeing how Say AI works with multiple (XP12 - MS2020 - MS2024) base platforms for one price, will Ace of ATCs handle multiple platforms? Sorry if I missed this answer in the thread.
