Though I have never been in a TBM 850, I have been in several turboprops and the prop while can be heard, its mostly wind noise with a faint prop sounds. But at least these sounds get the TBM back out of the hanger. For a single engine turboprop with no headset on? I disagree - the prop is going to be both audible and annoying. That said, I'm guessing you didn't enable the headset simulation as it completely eliminates the prop buzz, leaving you with just the low frequency sounds. If you aren't aware, go to the right side of the audio panel and click on "Pilot" in the crew isolation section to enable.Scott

When does the 15% discount appear? TIA,-B

I use the TDS GTNxi 750 in this plane and the new sound set seems to be blocking the key press sounds which are generated when using the touchscreen. A few do come through, but probably 80-90% of my key presses generated no sounds.Hello,From the TDS end we have looked into this, by asking a few community users for him and they have been unable to confirm the sound issue. Based on this, we think that this may be an isolated issue, probably system related. The TDS GTNXi Pro has default sound output. You can always modify the sound source from the Windows Volume Mixer, when in flight, for the Trainer.

Low-end test hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 3060-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.Vintage test software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Never really thought the issue was on the TDS side, and it also appears to have nothing to do with the new sound pack either as the problem is there regardless of whether the new sounds are enabled or not. Something definitely going on at my end, as I've also now picked up the dreaded no ATC audio problem - something I've not seen since I had the issue with 2020. The problem(s) persist whether I enable my external speakers, or my headset. Two different audio paths/devices with two different drivers, so... Dunno.Anyway, not anything to do with the topic here, so onward with troubleshooting. Thanks again,Scott

August 31Aug 31 Sounds are an improvement for sure but beta sound and transition is almost non existent. Agree a little too much “mosquito” sound of the prop. Maybe needs a bit more of the deeper turbine sound. If they can address these two areas (and maybe add a bit more of the jolt / hit when fuel introduced and combustion starts) then I think it is pretty decent. Appreciate the 15% off from Justflight. August 31Aug 31 Well I caved in and bought it yesterday. It's not bad, but as with their C172 and C208 sound packs, the headset emulation is poor. Only the engine sound is muted. Wind, air conditioning and other ambient sounds should be attenuated too. There should be more bass and (as in the best headset simulations out there: COWS DA-40/42), a light electrical feedback sound. As it is, it just sounds like the engine volume is attenuated, not modulated.I'd say it's expensive for what it is, and when compared to the quality and low cost of Boris Audio Works packs. We can improve overall attenuation and filtering in a future update to make long flights even more comfortable.Blue skies

None of the headset modes I've used in the sim go very far (or at all) in reducing most general cockpit sounds - switch clicks and other cockpit environmental sounds - and I like it that way! Emulating active (or even passive) noise cancellation as it really works in a plane IRL would make for some pretty dull sounds for a sim. All I really want in a sim headset emulation is to cut back the more obnoxious noisy bits (basically engine/prop noise) to avoid fatigue in cruise. Taking things too far would take the fun away!Scott
