If the free paint jobs were made for the marketplace version of the TBM they won't show for the one from Just Flight direct, and vice versa. I was told that Microsoft required JF to change the name of some files from their own version to the one they uploaded for sale on Marketplace. This makes all of the freeware paints on flightsim.to incompatible with the MP version.

If Echo19 included some free paints and he set it up for MP naming, it won't work with PC, etc. Just a guess from my end.

Thanks for flagging this. To clarify, the issue you’ve described concerns the free bonus liveries rather than the audio package itself. Some early users were having problems with the livery texture files not installing, but that has now been corrected.

Please rerun the installer so it can download the fresh files. That should resolve the texture issues. If the problem remains afterward, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll investigate further.

Respectfully, I’m not sure how the Boris comparison relates to a temporary file-delivery issue involving bonus content.

The issue was related to a checksum error on the backend of our install program created by our friends at TFDi.

We didn’t have issues internally or with our pool of nearly 20 early access members, so I was a bit surprised at this problem but it should be resolved.

Everything is fine now and running as it should ( originally a JF Purchase )

No problem with the installation here - at least as far as the liveries are concerned. Got mine from Just Flight so not sure if I have the "fixed" installer or if I just don't see the issues. Since I use Addons Linker my installs are to custom locations and that worked fine. Note you need to right click on both sounds and liveries to set the custom install locations. Easy peasey.

Hope to try out the sounds later today and very much looking forward to them.

One note about the liveries - they do look very nice but take note that they don't support dynamic registration. If you have that enabled, you'll see both your custom reg and the default one on the aircraft. FYI.

Looks like I'll have to wait - I've got the next TBM version with dual GTNxi's LOL... Hopefully Black Square releases this publicly soon TM so Echo19 can update the package ;)

I'd rather fight Chuck Norris than buy a sound that isn't Boris.

Well, that's the daily double on this plane's few faults. Sounds, number one, and no second GTN is #2. I'd even be OK with the #2 being the GNS 530 if it weren't for the issues in the WT 530 when it's the number 2 unit. Though I'd still miss crossfill, of course.

Well OK then. For my part I'd rather have better sounds than the lackluster default ones NOW and enjoy the plane more. To each their own.

Where were these files installed to? I can't find them. Not sounds or liveries. I was given no choice as to where they are installed.

I love good sound, and I especially love good sound in a plane. It has a huge impact for me in terms of immersion. And that's why the Black Square TBM 850 has always been nearer the bottom of my Black Square fleet in terms of flight hours. Great plane - meh to downright annoying sounds. I knew if 3rd party sound ever became available, I was going to jump on it.

For reference, I fly with a good quality gaming headset using Dolby Atmos for headphones, with MSFS 2024 in "Home Theater" sound mode. And... I love this Echo-19 sound set. The sounds take this plane from solid with some drawbacks to a plane I want to jump into and fly again. They are a dramatic improvement over stock in every aspect, from the little things to the big. Everything that I can think of that was bad in the original has been improved, from things like the terrain warnings that could barely be heard, to the un-involving startup sounds to the beta and reverse sounds to, well, everything. And the headphone simulation is the icing on the cake as I no longer have to listen to the annoying prop buzz of the original in cruise.

So far, I've only noticed one issue. I use the TDS GTNxi 750 in this plane and the new sound set seems to be blocking the key press sounds which are generated when using the touchscreen. A few do come through, but probably 80-90% of my key presses generated no sounds.

Otherwise, I'm a very satisfied customer.

Now if I could only fix an unrelated and very annoying problem I've been having with the secondary GNS 530 - but I'll address that elsewhere.

Good stuff, guys! Definitely recommended if you otherwise love this plane as I do.

I am on discord, but not TDS's. Never had any reason to be as their stuff has always just worked for me.

At this point I don't know if the issue is with TDS, Echo-19 or something weird on my system. In any case, it's a relatively minor annoyance, though it would be nice to get resolved.

I agree. I avoided flying this plane due to the sounds, but this sound pack elevates the 850 back into my rotation, and near the top for a while. Sure it would have been great if Black Square and Boris would have already completed a sound overhaul, but thank you Echo 19 for filling the void. This pack is excellent and I will not regret my purchase if Black Square releases a sound update in six, twelve, forty-eight months, who knows when!

An improvement over the default sounds but I am still getting the excessive buzzy prop sound, even while at cruise. Though I have never been in a TBM 850, I have been in several turboprops and the prop while can be heard, its mostly wind noise with a faint prop sounds. But at least these sounds get the TBM back out of the hanger.
