  1. Can you point me to where it mentions PBR textures in that review? As far as I am aware, any graphics card that has DirectX 11 support can render PBR textures. My own GTX 980Ti seems to be able to do it.
  2. To be honest, I have no idea if that is simulated on any platform.
  3. What do you mean by "don't have a GPU with PBR"? Your GTX 1070Ti should be perfectly capable of rendering PBR textures in P3Dv4.5.
  4. Maybe the pitch angles of the 737 and A320 are different on final approach?
  5. Before I read about this, I had no idea that there was a Rolls Royce North America. Is this company linked with Rolls Royce UK in any way?
  6. I think the real point is that nobody needs more than 60fps. The human eye probably can tell the difference between 60 and 90fps, but as far as I am concerned, if I could get 60fps absolutely everywhere in my flight simulator, I certainly would not be thinking about wasting more money just to try and match the "big boys".
  7. Wow, that very clearly shows the increase in speed after touchdown. In fact, it happens twice in that video. I have never seen that on my PC as far as I am aware. If it is somehow connected with rudder movement on the ground (as Pavlin has indicated above), then maybe it is significant that I use AutoRudder?
  8. I am using P3Dv4.5HF2. I do get stutters in various places, although this has improved quite a bit since I disabled all of my AI planes. London is obviously a stress test as far as framerates and overall performance are concerned, but I do not seem to have any problems flying over any other cities in the UK. I even get decent performance flying over Amsterdam and FlyTampa Schiphol airport with huge numbers of AI planes on the ground and in the air. One compromise that I have always made is that I fly in calm weather and clear skies, so that reduces the load on the processor to a certain extent.
  9. My ORBx TrueEarth Great Britain and Netherlands framerates are very good at maximum scenery complexity and autogen density levels, and my PC is a very mediocre system by today's standards (i5 7600k @ 4.5Ghz/32GB DDR4-3600 RAM/6GB GTX 980Ti).
  10. "Crying like a little word not allowed"? Some people have difficulty holding back the tears in certain situations. There is nothing wrong with that. Just because you are able to do it should not automatically mean that you are somehow more of a man because of it. We are all different, and we should respect that.
  11. I cry all the time when watching emotional stuff, but then I have always been a sensitive soul.
  12. I would assume that it is illegal for Simmarket to prevent access to all of your addons?
  13. It is a shame that Richard Branson is not interested in funding Virgin Orbit any further. Imagine what would have happened to SpaceX if Elon Musk had done the same?
  14. Calm down, Pavlin. It may not look like it, but most of these guys are trying to help. I do understand that you are comfortable with the zoom level that you are using, and that you have become used to this. Nevertheless, Nixoq's comment regarding moving your seat back to limit the zoom level that you require is sensible. For the record, I set a zoom level of 0.60 on my 24" 1920x1080 monitor, but I also move the seat back as much as 30 mouse clicks (basically up to the point where parts of the back of my seat disappear if I swivel my head through 360 degrees) That gives me a nice view position without taking the zoom to extreme levels. As for your touchdown bug issue, I cannot help. I do not see any problems when landing the 737NGX/747/777 on my PC. The 777 has always seemed to be reluctant to flare to quite the same extent as the 737 and 747, but it does not cause me any real problems. I switch off A/P and A/T in all of my PMDG planes at 1000 feet above the runway.
  15. If they have pulled it because it is going to be an upcoming "Local Legend" for MSFS, then why pull the P3D version at the same time?
  16. There is actually something to be said for a stable system with only minor development updates. I used Flight Unlimited 3 (and the Flight Unlimited 2 San Francisco scenery) for eight years between late 1999 and 2008, and although I would have liked a scenery expansion, it did not stop me from enjoying my flights. I am now in a similar position with Flight Unlimited Great Britain and Netherlands in P3Dv4.5HF2 (which I have been using since October 2018), and I do not feel the urge to "upgrade" to a new simulator that (despite its obvious good looks) is constantly in a state of flux with forced updates, a few quirky graphical issues (photogrammetry apocalypse/solid bridges/volcanic ash clouds etc), and (apparently) occasional connection problems. In short......until I need to upgrade, I am quite happy to stay where I am
  17. People have different zoom setting preferences, so let's not get into an argument about it. I have seen enough of that rubbish in racing games.
  18. "Couldn't get the funding" Where have we heard that before? Ah, yes.....just about every other sector of manufacturing in the United Kingdom over the past fifty years. We prefer to out source everything to foreign countries, and let them reap the rewards
  19. Unfortunately I do not have Microsoft Flight Simulator, so I am not able to check this on my PC.
  20. Why does the plane look like it is flying incredibly slowly in the first video? That does not look right at all. As for the second video, I am struggling to find anything wrong with it.
  21. You do realise that April Fool's jokes are technically only supposed to be delivered prior to 12 noon?
  22. I think he means that some of his friends were already using the 531.29 drivers, and had not installed the new ones.
  23. Is this of any use? https://www.uk2000scenery.net/forum/index.php?topic=386.0
  24. Whilst custom ground textures have many advantages, the ability to change runway numbers is one thing that I like about default runways. I have updated runway designations at several airports and airfields recently in my UK2000 VFR Airfields products.
