  1. Considering how many users need to download these files, delivery via a single site not a good idea. I cannot event get to the page that shows my downloads let alone to download links.
  2. Thanks for the quick response. Regards
  3. I have a networked configuration and decided to do clean installs of win7 64 on both PCs and a clean install of V3 on the Server. In the past with FSX, I would install the simconnect.msi only on the Server and get the other related simconnect files from the SDK folder. Would appreciate it if someone could clarify procedure for P3D. Thanks
  4. Currently running P3D v2.5 and just installed P3D v3. Having some many addons that will require upgrading to v3 it is my intention to keep using v2.5 until new installers are released. If I have understood this thread so far I will have to remove PMDG from v2.5 in order to install it on v3. Just wanted to know if after installation on v3 I could reinstall PMDG to v2.5 using the old installer. Many thanks to Capt Randazzo and the team for such quick delivery of software for P3D latest version. Regards
  5. Simconnect is essential if you are running a networked set-up where for example weather programs like ASN, etc. are running on the client.
  6. You obviously don't live in London.... for that kind of money you'll just get about 2 cheap rounds for 4 people.
  7. To get FSInn to work on P3D v2.5 you will need to install the Migration tool on the Server PC (where P3D is installed) then install FSInn. Give full sharing permissions to the folders inside the main FSFDT folders and create firewall exclusions for all the executable files in these folders. Make sure you reboot after all the above. Fire up the sim and test the FSInn installation, you'll need to add the relevant Vatsim server IP address and configure the FSFDT Control Panel and the FSInn interfaces, then connect to Vatsim. If successful all is well. Now go to the Client and repeat the same install and configuration as that on the Server, including folder sharing and exclusions, then reboot. To test it start P3D and once at the airport run, first FSFDT Control Manager followed by FSInn if you then see FSInn reading your aircraft database it means it is seeing the Server and hopefully you can then connect in the normal way via Client PC. As far as sounds are concerned this is how I configure mine to use a USB Headset. On the Server open the FSFDT Control Manager and go to Voice\Vatsim and just make sure you select your speaker only so that you can hear all the sim sounds in your Server. On the Client do as above but make sure that you select your speakers, headset and microphone. This will allow you to use your PTT button on the yoke/joystick to communicate with Vatsim ATC. VPilot is easy to install and doesn't require a complex setting up but FSInn has very useful utilities and tools which no other client in Vatsim has managed to match. Well worth the effort of installing. As always I recommend reading the FSInn manual. Hope the above is of help. Regards
  8. I am running FSInn on Win7 64 on a networked client, if you need any help let me know.
  9. Martin I know this is an old thread but just want to thank you for suggestion of Gama Panel which has finally solved my P3d nights being too bright.
  10. Problem solved. Using ICAO53 and enabling Contrails for the AI packages.
  11. Does anyone know how to make other aircraft (other than my own) show their contrails? - all my flying is done on Vatsim and when using FSX they always appeared, but since using P3D they never show. I have various AI packages installed such as MT6, UT2 & VIP. Much obliged for any feedback. Thanks
  12. I use Bandicam and Bandicut to record in HD mp4 format. Hardly any impact on frame rates. A 14 minute recording ia approx 1.1 Gb can be compressed further using Handbrake.
  13. Harry I'll check my settings this evening and will get back to you.
  14. Reading back to your earlier post you wrote: "Subsequent starts in Legacy and "Normal" Virtual Mode have not had the Menu entry reappear and FSInn will NOT connect without it." What do you mean by Legacy & Normal mode. My P3D doesn't have 2 different start modes, or at least I am not aware of them. Regards
  15. In P3D the only way to get FSInn to run is with the Migration Tool enabled. At least this is the only way I have managed to get it to work. Check your dll.cfg file to make sure there is an entry for FSCopilot. If the entry is missing that is the reason why you cannot see anything in the pull down menu. Add the entry manually if necessary and it should work OK.
  16. Harry A good way to test is to turn off firewall and antivirus temporarily and see if FSInn works, if it does, then make sure that all executable files (*.exe) under the FSFDT folder have exclusions in your antivirus software and in your firewall. The server addresses that are default in FSInn are not working anymore. You'll need to obtain the latest IP addresses from Vatsim or if you have Vatspy from the servers tab.
  17. Are you looking for large airports or smaller ones for GA and bizjets.
  18. Want to thank you for providing us with an outstanding Central/South America mesh. After installation checked out a few places in Colombia which I know very well in real life and was very pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the mesh, something I never experienced before in this continent with previous payware mesh. Regards
  19. I like to edit the scenery.cfg entries manually which means that when I'm done the numbering of the scenery entries are out of numerical sequence. I have tried the Reset Area and layer numbers and reorder the files, but when I check the scenery.cfg afterwards the numbers are still out of sequence. All paths are set correctly. Any ideas why this is so? Thanks
  20. Keep getting a P3D error right in the middle of flights regardless of the aircraft I'm flying. it always faults menus.dll. Done a search in this forum under menus.dll but nothing came up. Any advice/help appreciated. Regards
  21. Had the privilege of meeting you in London some years ago. A good chip from the best old block. Farewell friend and God bless you. Sincerest condolences to Tom's family, great loss to us all.
  22. I took part in a Vatsim event last Saturday and pressed the button on P3D to sync to system time. However now when I try to start a new flight set to day time it quickly reverts to night time. I've tried everything I can think of to get a flight in daytime but to no avail (It was night time in real world). Is there anyway I can reset P3D to get rid of this issue? Thanks
