  1. If there are any hyperlinks in your community folder for the orbx airports, you need to delete those because the Add-on linker is going to create them. You don't need to reinstall your ORBX airports. Only the one that has been giving you trouble.
  2. I have the SoFly themes and they are the most immersive you can get. I can't trust that live weather will work. Maybe ASOBO forgot about flight planning 101. Weather is so essential, that without it, there is no flying.
  3. The add-on linker is the best utility you can get to keep track of all your add-ons. If you have not done so, watch some youtube videos to get familiar with the program. I have a main folder called MSFS Add-Ons, then inside I have an Airports folder that is then broken up by continents and countries, airplanes folder, utilities folder, etc. You an organize your folders as you please then enable and disable regions, airplanes, etc. It's an excellent tool because it will let you know if you have a duplicate airport or conflict in a different folder. You will also speed up loading times with less add-on loaded. It even has a feature that eliminates some of the useless opening videos to speed up loading MSFS. Also, when it comes time to update the sim, one click disables all add-ons. The ORBX ap will install your airports where ever you want. You can use Add-on linker to add that folder, then enable as you wish. Any hyper links created by ORBX in the community folder should be deleted since add-on linker will be doing this for you. The add-on linker can also be set up auto load aps like FSUIPC or FSRealistic. This utility is a must have! You can delete PAKT and download a fresh copy. That's my suggestion.
  4. What really ticks me off is that in order for me to get a reliable live weather generator for MSFS, I have to buy REX WF. It's pathetic that after almost 2 years, ASOBO can't bring us 3 cloud types, but a payware add-on can do it.
  5. As Ryan said, don't even think about trying "live" ATC without mastering the airplane you are going to fly. I have not embraced VATSIM because in real life, the ATC doesn't just go home. With the exception of a US towered controlled airport (Class D Airspace) where hours of operation are clearly shown, controllers don't just go home for the day. Since I'm not going to complain about a free service, that is also invaluable for those who seek to learn, I'd rather wait and see where VATSIM goes from here. For now, I stick with default or Pilot2ATC.
  6. It's going to be hard to get me away from the H-Jet, but I'm happy that they are finally coming to MSFS.
  7. I'm bringing this thread back from the dead, because I finally had enough turning knobs with a mouse, so I decided to see if any goflight drivers were released. This thread: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/goflight-products-now-compatible-with-fs-2020-really-yes-kind-of/250826/163 It motivated me to re-install FSX just to get my modules to light up and work. To my surprise, my LGT, Throttle, and RP48 work with MSFS. I use my add-on linker to start "GFDevFSX.exe" so I don't have to load it manually. Just a HU for anyone who wants t try it.
  8. I just use Add-on linker and add folders as I please. I do have everything by Continent/Country/Airports etc.
  9. Good idea. In the past when I deleted anything from the main store folder, MSFS upon loading would just download the area again. I always used the content manager to delete any scenery areas. There is a thread on improving performance that shows that deleting just a few PG (WU) files with the CM, results in better fps. How did you delete the area and which files did you delete? I would also prefer to be at pre WU10 for the area. I do have a backup, so I can test. Thanks for sharing. Jose
  10. All I want is TCB's & more Cirrus clouds depiction for now. This is what's missing for me. I already love the cumulus variety.
  11. Verticalsim doesn't make a KMRY, so we got you. 😀 They both require an ap to install. Thanks for the reminder. I need to download the fsdreamteam ap to download all my airports again since they have not been updated since I upgraded my computer.
  12. 125 airplanes? No wonder you are so confused. 😀
  13. Do you recommend REX WF? Today, again, the live weather did not match the msfs metar. So I loaded my building storms theme. I like clouds!
  14. Do a search on the drive that MSFS is installed for trafficAircraft.bgl Mine is here: D:\MSFS 2020\Official\OneStore\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic You should have the following: trafficAircraft.bgl trafficBoats.bgl
  15. New update is now out. Not that I really needed it. But. it shows that this developer is serious about making his clients happy.
  16. This was promised and two years later still no delivery. Lots of hype!
  17. From the beginning we did not get what we were initially promised from ASOBO. I expected some cloud variations, especially TCBs, because that's what was promoted in the early stages. The live weather feature has been unreliable (sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't.) I really appreciate their efforts and feel that it's the best experience I've ever had with a flight sim, even with just cumulus & cirrus clouds. I never embraced REX WF. Unless I can get a variety of clouds, smooth transitions like I get with the default live weather feature, excellent performance, and stability, it's just not worth paying extra for an add-on that does not solve the inherent problems I just discussed.
  18. The y look much better now. Approach to KSRQ this afternoon:
  19. Cpt, Is the traffic file in MSFS disabled? I always say NO when I get asked by the AIG Manager.
  20. It looks like what I previously suggested is the only way to remedy the issue. Turn off PG when flying in Virginia, but again, that defeats the purpose of the WUs.
  21. Try the MSFS2020 Map Enhancement. https://flightsim.to/file/19345/msfs-2020-google-map-replacement Really easy to use.
