I missed it too because I have not flown an approach at dusk. I was more enthralled by the surrounding mountains and the picturesque approach.

It's not like EZDOK. You have profiles and effects and sounds can be adjusted. It's no where near as complicated as EZDOK. For those who love to do touch and goes, your pattern work will never be the same.

They also clap when you land. 😀 As a kid flying from NY to PR, that's the one thing I remember most.

All you need to do is disable FSRealistic and do a take off and landing. Then do the same pattern work with it enabled. Ask yourself which one feels more real? It's really that simple.

The subtle camera effects & additional airplane sounds are what make the add-on immersive. You can disable or enable sounds and effects as you please. For me is a must have add-on. Aside from adding the speebrake sound to the Mooney, I have not touched the profile of my fleet. You can try it out to see if it's worth the $6 upgrade price. This video shows what's new:

There were a few genuine issues that can cause alarm. At least most people did admit that they did not know what they were doing. The term "user error" came to mind.

I set Simple Traffic with suggested settings as well as with the live traffic and I get mixed results. With the off-line traffic you get all the bugs that have been reported, but there's plenty of parked airliners to enjoy. With the "live" setting there's hardly any airliners parked, I hear some airliners with ATC enabled, and I've seen some unusual parking and even flipped upside down aircraft. This is honestly an atrocity. I paid extra for an add-on that does nothing but add realistic liveries. I hope ASOBO fixes the AI feature ASAP. We have waited long enough.

In my case I had to delete the STAR and that brought fps back to normal.

I would love to see an improvement to the live weather depiction, AI traffic, and ATC. I want more voices and more options. I want a fully working ATC and I wanted this a year ago. While ASOBO is at it, can't they please add an altitude to the FP section? So my answer is an emphatic YES! I have plenty of sceneries, airports, and amazing airplanes that I paid a nice amount of money. I'm confident that WT will improve the avionics. What not confident about is that ASOBO will fix the core sim without hiring competent third party devs to help them. I want the complete sim that I was promised and paid for almost 2 years ago. Not complaining, just hoping for updates to these very important areas of the sim. We've waited long enough.

Yet you read 100 from users are are ecstatic about this new addition to MSFS. Honestly almost every airplane (except for the Milviz c310) for ME felt lifeless until FSRealistic came along. It's hard to explain how gentle camera effects can have such realism to a flight simulator.

Nice review. I'm sorry you had to learn that you had to restart the sim after an airport or scenery install in MSFS just like all of us. 😀 The only thing you forgot in your review is that the taxi signs match the real airport diagram. 😀 I hate it when taxi sign are missing or wrong at a payware airport.
