  1. I have over the years bought every AI traffic programme there is and have always had issues of some kind or another with each one...I recently downloaded the free ### AI traffic and am as happy as a pig in shhhhhhh...
  2. Tom I am shocked and saddened to hear this news...I am not a religious man but I am going to pray for a miracle for you!
  3. Have to say they are impressive screenshots.I could never get to grips with this sim having tried the demo 3 or 4 times...
  4. Thai airways fly 777 ,747 between Chiang Mai (VTCC) and Bangkok (VTBS) daily..Flight time is 1:10....They also fly the same palnes from Bangkok to Phuket which is under 2 hours.
  5. I had the same problem with the Eiresim add on version of EIDW ,ended up buying a registerd version of Fsuipc to avail of the g3.dll fix and that solved the problem fo me.
  6. Try out Flying Tigers VA ,you can fly any amount of planes from day one and for loads of airlines...There is an entrance exam which is not too difficult, but after that there are enough aircraft and routes to keep anybody happy!
  7. Looks great! Think my time to get XPlane 10 is getting nearer.
  8. It appears to have been removed from Microsoft website....I have it so if you cannot get it let me know and I can email it to you...John
  9. Well after months of not being able to land in my favourite payware airport I followed the advice here and bought FSUIPC4..No more crashes! I am a happy man,and better still fsuipc only cost me 12 euro due to a discount for having bought fsuipc for fs9 previously..Happy days!
  10. OK got it sorted through PMDG support....Here is the instructions to fix it...Follow these instructions to manually remove the FS9 747-400's uninstall information from the Windows registry. This will stop Windows from thinking the product is already installed when it isn't or if you've removed the product's files manually.CAUTION - this procedure involves editing the Windows registry, which can be hazardous if not done correctly - make sure you follow these instructions exactly.1. Go to the Start Menu:Windows XP: Click Run, then type "regedit" and press enter.Windows Vista or 7: Enter "regedit" into the search box and press enter.2. Once in regedit, Press Control+F to open the search box.3. Copy and paste the following code into the search box:97679567-0095-464E-B5F2-E218A1CF34214. Click "Find Next".5. When it finds an entry, carefully delete the highlighted folder the entry was found in by right clicking the folder and choosing delete. Make absolutely sure you are not deleting the entire higher-level folder, it must be ONLY the folder that was highlighted by the search.6. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until no more instances of that number are found in the registry.7. Find the following folder and delete it:32-bit Windows: C:Program FilesInstallShield Installation Information{97679567-0095-464E-B5F2-E218A1CF3421}64-bit Windows: C:Program Files (x86)InstallShield Installation Information{97679567-0095-464E-B5F2-E218A1CF3421}Reboot and then try the FS9 747-400 installer again - it should now run as if the product was never installed.
  11. I would have thought so too..But each time I have tried to install it into FS9 it tells me its already installed....Which of course it is not!
  12. Just wondering if there is anyway to install 747 into FS9 after installing into FSX?When I try it tells me its already installed..Dont really want to uninstall 747 from FSX..........
  13. Does the default 747 come with a built in FMC?If not are there any add on planes egPMDG747 type add ons one can buy for X Plane 10 as I am thinking of buying this sim...
  14. I have just uninstalled Flight from my computer after 10 minutes of trying it...It is just not for me,at least not at present..What turned me off was the lessons at the start flying around the ballons, all I wanted to do was sit on a runway and explore the island at my own pace...Maybe I am missing something?but I could not escape the ballons!Besides all that I recently bought a new PC which runs FSX really well..I have had FSX just prior to its official release(from a mate who worked for Microsoft) but it never ran at an acceptable level for me to enjoy...Now it does and I have just recently uninstalled FS9 from my pc after years and years of great fun and enjoyment..I now look forward to the same from X,but will definitely be keeping an eye on FLIGHT to see how it pans out in the future..
  15. Well at least my computer might be able to run FS1....
  16. Unfortunately I would have to wait a few years before buying Flight...The reason is when Fsx (or just prior to it)came on stream I invested in a top end highly expensive PC...I reckoned this PC would run X like a dream!I was wrong,so wrong that a couple of years down the line I am still happily using Fs9...So I reckon the next Pc I buy when the time comes will be capable of running X (hopefully)and the one after that if I am still alive will run Flight..I suppose by then Microsoft will have brought out several Flight Sims, and ohhhhhhhhhh forget it,its a vicious circle..
  17. I have recently noticed that while flying into or taxiing around busy airports FS9 gets a little steppy...Nothing strange about that you might think...But!When I press ctrl z twice to bring up the frame rate counter the steppiness stops immediately and the Sim runs as smooth as pie...Anybody else noticed this before???Now I am wondering if there is anyway to run the counter without the red script up above which can be annoying after a while?
  18. Recently purchased rc4...Problem is my wife is threatning to leave me if I dont cut down the huge amount of time I spen on fs9 since installing rc4....Please advise.... :(
  19. Thank you for your suggestion ronzie...I tried it but unfortunately vtbs still does not show up,any other ideas??John
  20. Hi It let me add vtbs but it still does not show up.....
  21. I have had FSX since day 1,but with poor performance I never really used it much, always opting for FS9 instead..That is until today when I happend to find the wonderfull programme AlacrityPC by Ken Salter. What a huge difference it has made to the running of FSX..After all the tweaks and mods I tried out, this program has transformed the way FSX runns on my computer.Done my first FULL flight this evening and am starting to realise how great a sim FSX really is...
