Fund it.... (just kidding) Well, actually, the first years of FSX were something like that: FS9 for heavies, FSX for VFR. Same situation happened with MSFS (until Maddog's release): MSFS mostly for VFR; P3Dv4/5 for airliners.

That's my idea, actually: pay a month and then cancel the subscription, until I feel like paying again.

Dumb question: do I need to install a Navigraph AIRAC cycle for it to work?

Hello everyone. Is it there a way to purchase just a month's worth of just navdata? I mean, there is the €9 pack with charts, navdata and flight planner, but I don't need all of this: I still have FSBuild and Simbrief for flight planning, and Aivlasoft EFB for the charts (after some recommendations from people here). The last time I flew online was 15 years (and 13 rigs) ago, so I don't need the latest ones (if not for that, the €30 yearly option could work for me). Any ideas before biting the bullet?

I never had these problem, in either the FS9 or FSX versions. I never had the P3D ones...

PF3, since my latest FS9 days. Due to licensing requirements, I'm using default in my laptop.

Hope you don't have any Navigraph navdata installed for MSFS. Unless you have the latest one, you'll get a CTD. Sad, IMO... If you don't feel like paying for a newer AIRAC, you can uninstall the navdata for MSFS (in the Community folder) and it will do fine.

Then I'm counted in twice: once for the subscription I had at release (and then last August), and another one for my Steam setup.

This method: Did you try it? It always worked for me, but it's been long since the last time I used this feature.

There was a button you could press in GSX options (opened from in-flight), and it would replace the jetways to the correct elevation, but I don't remember well which one.

Disable HDR. I know you can't do that in the UI, so you will have to edit P3D.cfg. First, enable EA and close P3D. Then, in P3D.cfg, look for the line that says HDR=1 and change it to HDR=0. Save the cfg, start P3D and enjoy. You'll get the best of both worlds.

I only played once this paid beta game, with some Virtualcol Colombian sceneries in 2007. Because of piracy, he stopped sharing the files, but he met the deadline and sent us the DVD with the sceneries. I still have the box in a shelf in my old bedroom.

After MSFS, I'm no longer paying >$60 for an addon. Now, if those $80 include both P3Dv5 and MSFS versions, I can think about it.

What do you all think about Maddog? I still fly the FS9 version sometimes, but I never got the P3D one...
