  1. 4k with a 1080?... ambitious hehe I think that would be a but rough. But doable with lowered settings like TLOD no more than 100.
  2. Thank you! It's easy to take pics of this beautiful area.
  3. No there's no VNAV controlled via autopilot. I think it's just the VSR display that you would activate on the GNS itself.
  4. Yeah with true earth it still looks pretty darn good! Nice pics! I can't begin to think of how much I've spent on Orbx products haha.
  5. Nice as usual. And they have a discord link available finally.
  6. Flight Check made it way out to Albania eh? (That's a USA navaid certification aircraft) Nice pics!
  7. Right click on the TDS app in your Windows system tray and make sure the 750 unit 1 is connected to the AP.
  8. I've been using 430w for years works great! I'd rather have a gps any day irl. You can fly in VLOC and shoot any traditional approach, or you have the option you shoot an rnav IAP. Always a good idea to have options.
  9. Are you entering the flight plan in the 750? That's the one that feeds the Autopilot. I don't like how they have it setup on this plane.
  10. Nothing is wrong with it - but the avionics should still be able to work (as long as we aren't using GTNs in place of a G1000)... especially as many airports do not have a traditional approach.
  11. Either the PMS or TDS will be fine... but don't use a GTN on a G1000 aircraft, or one with an FMS for that matter. I would highly recommend sticking to addons that support the GTN in 3d cockpit (and use that as a reference even if you are doing GTN 750 hardware/ standalone) Aircraft with TDS GTN integration: https://tdssim.com/gtnxivcintegration Aircraft with PMS GTN integration (skip the ones with G1000 replacement!!): https://pms50.com/msfs/aircrafts/
  12. I agree it saves money (usually with higher end components) but I'd totally hire out my next build. It's too much of a pita when things don't workout. RMA this or that, or fiddle with bios for 3 hours (or 3 days) etc etc. Microcenter PCs are pretty decent. I think they also have an option to build in store...there is fee but it's not unreasonable. If I recall, you pick out the components and they build it.
  13. Don't use a gtn 750/650 in place of the g1000. I don't why it's responding like that but the Gtn is not meant to be used with g1000
  14. Thanks - good plane for the flight Thank you I agree nice play to fly Glad you liked it
  15. I'm dreaming of warmer weather with this flight from Fall City (1WA6) to Anacortes (74S) in the C182 RG. Lovely paint by the very talented Tim-HH. GTN 750Xi by TDS - now featuring updatable Navigraph database/charts. I tried to really capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest in these pics - please leave a comment! And I hope to inspire people to fly in this area.... one of the most beautiful areas in real life (and the sim!) 16. Yep I have it all the time. Annoying. I guess there are worse bugs though.
  17. Yeah you wouldn't be flying into military only bases as a civilian unless an emergency existed. It's possible navigraph doesn't have the data for them though. I'll have to look. Or it could be a lot of airports in China where there is no data.
  18. I wonder if those 5000 ft airports are private strips or what? That seems odd to not include 5000 ft public airports. That would be an issue on the navigraph end of course. I looked on my.vfr sectional chart last night and found a totally random area that is very rural and navigraph had 2 tiny airstrips in the data - neither with IAPs, and one was a 2300 ft grass strip and the other a 2100 ft paved. A 2100 ft strip is super short for a public airport so I'm surprised the data would exclude 5000 ft strips IF it was public.
  19. I agree - flying a helicopter it is so nice to be able to look around everywhere as you approach the landing site.
  20. Oh I thought there was an option to enter it either way? I think in the WT avionics you CAN enter it that way too... origin, dest, then enroute fixes. I guess I've always just entered it in order that makes sense to me.
  21. What do you mean by MSFS logic? The WT Garmin avionics use the same logic as the TDS. I fly a Beech irl and it sports a GNS430W. The way I enter flight plans is the same as the TDS GTNxi. I enter my origin airport followed by waypoints and then the destination. As I near my destination I just press PROC to load an approach. If I'm flying locally, all I do is Direct To an airport, and load an approach. Or, one can just press PROC and select the airport/approach from there too. I just loaded the sim and entered the same flight plan the same way in the TDS vs the G5000 in the Longitude. While the G5000 has the labels origin, enroute, and destination, and the gtn doesn't - the entries are still the same order. For instance my simple flight plan was KPCZ RROBB SHEAY KMSP. I entered them in that order. Then I went to PROC and added the MUSCL3 arrival into MSP via SHEAY. Is yours not working like this?
  22. Absolutely. I frequently fly to airports without IAPs. Navigraph doesn't include private strips that I know of... there may be a few exceptions though.
  23. Nice pic - is that the one with the 30mm flashlight haha?
