  1. Hey Diego, Ryan mentioned that the ER & BBJ packages are still coming. ER first followed by BBJ.
  2. Ryan (Tabs) mentioned that both packages are being worked on and that the ER will come first followed by the BBJ.
  3. OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa - FAJS 5,500ft above sea level with summer temps of 30 degrees C. Lots of international & domestic flights.

Hey PMDG, Is the intention to release the BBJ/ER models still going ahead? Really keen on flying the BBJ's! Cheers
  6. I hope so! Can't wait for the BBJ!
  7. Awesome DC-6 video from South Africa.

  10. Well then you're thinking along the right lines... Water cooling will greatly reduce your load temps!
  11. Well with water cooling (unless you are using a water chiller or phase change unit) you can't go cooler than the ambient temperature. So at the moment in South Africa the temps are in the 30's during the day so my cpu is idling at 32-35 degrees.
  12. Hi Andrew,Their is an EK block for the 580 Direct CU II though none for your 570.As for tubing, I would say go for the 1/2 inch tubing. Just make sure you have clamps if you use barbs or if you want to spend more you can go with compression fittings. To give you an idea, my loop is as follows: Radiator: Swiftech MCR-320-K (works well with low-medium speed fans) Pump: Swiftech MCP-655 (Variable speed so I can keep the noise down to a minimum) CPU Block: EK HF Cu Plexi Reservoir: Swiftech Micro Res Fans: Yate Loon medium speed led fans (great price to performance ratio) (Best fans would be Gentle Typhoon AP-15's though) Tubing: Primochill 7/16 tubing I will be adding a Gtx 580 and another radiator to the loop shortly.Hope that helps
  13. Hi Andrew,If you do go with either of the RASA kits, bear in mind the following: The pump is fairly weak.. It will be fine for the kit setup but if you add a GPU block to the loop and another radiator it will struggle. The tubing that is included in the kit is not great and tends to discolour quite easily. Rather pick up some other tubing such as Primochill. Plus you can get some great colours. 7/16th ID(Inner Diameter) tubing over 1/2 inch barbs creates a much tighter seal which is great as it will further help with preventing any leaks, but it is tricky to get over the barbs. The fans that come with the kit are not brilliant... though depending on how you feel about noise they will work well enough. You could pick up others that will be better in both airflow and sound. The RS radiator is best used with higher RPM fans (more noise) while the RX radiator is best suited for low speed fans (quieter) Hope that helps
  14. Just btw, the use of reduced thrust in takeoff ends up using slightly more fuel than a maximum thrust takeoff due to the slower rate of climb achieved. Cheers.
  15. No problem lol :) I was on-board & I thought you might have been upfront.I fly out of Lanseria regularly though & it really is a great place to fly to & from. & Thanks so much for all the info in this thread! Brilliant stuff! Cheers
  16. Hi Simon, Just wanted to ask if you flew MN466 on the 27th of August? It was on ZWO. Best regards, Greg
  17. Thanks Pete!
  18. Hi everyone, I've been trying my hand at a couple of paints and making decent progress though I have two questions: 1.) How do you deal with the wing decal .psd? I can't seem to get it to produce the registration that i'm painting. 2.) This is more of a question for Pete, What is the font being used for the Kulula name on the tail of the Flying 101 paint. I'm trying to paint a couple of the other Kulula birds. Thanks all :)

  20. Hi Ryan,I pulled the battery and reset the CMOS. It then started up fine only to shut down on its own a few hours later. It seems that the RAM might be the problem. It isn't listed in ASUS' QVL (Qualified Vendor List) & I seems the two don't want to play nice...I'm doing a few more tests and failing that, i'll send the RAM back & swop it for another brand.
  21. Thanks Word Not Allowed.I'll do so and see what happens...
  22. I havn't actually left it at default BIOS settings long enough to tell for sure.It seems to only happen after a considerable amount of time.
  23. Thanks Word Not Allowed & Stephen,I removed the battery & then replaced it. Sure enough, the pc started but then a little earlier this evening... it shut down on it's own once again!I then took out the RAM and placed them into different DIMM slots and the machine started again.I have also had a look through my MB user guide and my Mushkin RAM doesn't feature in the QVL(qualified vendor list) that Asus have listed.Should I try resetting the RAM again or should I look to try and find RAM that is listed in the QVL?
  24. Hi Dario,Thanks for the response!I OC'd it in the BIOS. Upping the Turbo multiplier to 45, BClk stayed at 100 and Vcore @ 1.3.My system was stable during hours of Prime95 and FSX etc. Temps were maxed at 60 degrees C at full load. Idle is low 30's/high 20's.There are no beeps at all. It sounds completely like a normal boot.I havn't tried to clear the CMOS yet. Will try that when I get home from work.
  25. I'm reposting this from the hardware forum seeing as the people here helped me in making my pc decision.Hi everyone, I hope you can help me...Last night I left my pc running (& it has been running now without a problem for about 5/6 days) and when I woke up in the morning it was still running but there was nothing on the screen. (ie. no signal).I tried to reset & that didn't work. I tried the off button and that didn't work either. I had to disconnect the power at the back to turn it off. I then switched it back on and fans etc all ran but... nothing on the screen. No bios, no windows... nothing. Initially the DRAM_LED light came on so I figured it might be a RAM issue. So I pulled the RAM out and then placed it back in one at a time. Still nothing and the DRAM_LED only lights once the pc starts and does not come on again. It seems like it continues to boot though nothing makes its way onto the screen.Does this sound like the GFX card is bust? I have no idea what the problem could be so i'm open to anything!Specs are in my signature...Thanks everyone!
