    You need to click it on the taskbar then alt-tab to it.Or just use the fake-windowed script so it's windowed mode but still full screen :) instant-alt-tab

    I just wish someone would fix up FSX's engine a little to support newer hardware better (better directx, multicore CPU) and then maybe some better Ai..

    No it means you have 8 threads, I think it has 4 cores. The tool wool set the affinity properly so that e.g. core 0 is left for terrain loading and the rest is on the other cores

    Like FSX is rendering to 110nm distance.. after 20nm everything it's just a blur with no detail at all

    Simple.. FSX is the worst coded game ever Are you kidding me? Skyrim looks awesome in the distance while FSX looks absolutely horrendous

    Just tried it by removing FPS limiter but didn't change a thing. Still same mouse-over FPS drop

    Tuning guide is overrated IMO.I once followed the guide, reinstalling between every damn addon, but i'd still get constant .dll errors.I now just install all at once and FSX is hardly crashes on me anymore. I use automated tweak utility and then manually adjust

    I don't see why locking FPS with the external limiter would harm FPS, but i'll give it a try, thanks

    I'm using an external limiter to cap 20fps. My FSX is set to unlimited. edit: I'm using the d3d9.dll versoin to cap my FPS. Are you saying that removing the limit will resolve the mouse-over-FPS issue?

    Well im running frames unlimited, as recommended bij bojote etc. Limiting with FSX option results in even lower FPS.But I don't see how this effects the mouse-over issue??

    You can't.Turning off DEP might solve it for some but it's a very important feature of windows - I wouldn't turn it off.I got many BEX errors too, gave up on FSX and tried again 2 years later.I'm still getting errors but mainly on shutdown and no more BEX. Got lucky I guess :)
