  1. Thanks Ralf, I sent in a message to the according email adress Swayze de Heij
  2. Unfortunately I had already read this comment and still couldn't find any solution. This is how it looks with me. When pressing one of the blue buttons it asks me to browse for the cab file, but couldn't find any such file in my pmdg/fsx folders.
  3. Where can I find the Cab file?
  4. This is the initial report from the German Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung (facts only, no analysis): http://www.bfu-web.de/cln_030/nn_226462/EN/Publications/Investigation_20Report/2011/FactualReport__11__EX010__B777__Munic,templateId=raw,property=publicationFile.pdf/FactualReport_11_EX010_B777_Munic.pdf
  5. I personally like the fact of taxiing on the MD-11! As the nose gear is quite behind the cockpit it offers you a greater feeling that you are taxiing something big and robust  As sandpatch said it indeed is very sad that the MD-11 is leaving the scenes as a passenger-version. This however is not surprising as the DC-10/MD-11 were originally designed to avoid the ETOPS rule back then, if I am correct. Now with the 777 and especially the higher ETOPS timings approved combined with lower fuel usages, the MD-11 is only good for freight...
  6. Indeed, must be honest that the winglets gave the 737 more flair. Was never that keen on the 73 before it was retrofitted with them.
  7. Sorry, I meant Engine bleed to On My mistake ^^
  8. Checklist- Before Take-off set the cruising altitude into the pressurisation panel and set the panel to auto- Engine Bleed AUTO- Packs AUTO- Recirc Fans AUTO That should work!! EDIT: Sorry, Engine bleed to ON, thanks Andy! ;)
  9. The speedbrakes besides braking the lift on touchdown also make the braking more effective. By partly braking lift, there is more weight to come on the main landing gear what results in better braking performance. Haven't seen the video yet, but in a way spoilers do make a difference...
  10. Like this you mean??http://www.reishonger.nl/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Kulula-1.png
  11. Lovely story Mate!! Keep up the dream!
  12. These damn 'Ice'kimos probably fiddled with one of the systems on the ground!!
  13. That's funny... cause on my delivery flight via BIKF shortly after take off at BIKF I got the same warning.... Never had it after that at any other airport tough...
  14. Why don't you make it yourself? Not that difficult, just go to aircraft parameters, and just adjust where all doors etc are
  15. Mine here to, even when going from LNAV, scrolling the hdg bug to the active heading at that moment, and then enganging heading mode... There's a short vibration over the plane
  16. Don't know if it was faulty, but my NGX landed yesterday with faded brakes, so I went in full reverse and this was the effect, just like with the C-17 doing a short field landing ==> Watch this
  17. I think real pilots are trained to this, so they normally won't be coming in with a to high speed. My only guess is you'd start your approach early and use your drag by pithing up slightly to decrease speed at certain points. That's what i do atleast, but I have to admit the NGX really shows off some realistic ground-effect.
  18. Indeed, if you follow the introduction step by step for the first few pages, you won't have any problems. But I have to admit, if you place this plane in a Hangar, it would definitely look good. Just shows how PMDG models everything, instead of just adding a picture of turning fanblades or non-turning fanblades like with the old 737NG. What an evolution!!!
  19. That's correct, it projects the image onto the HUD that can be latched or unlatched.
  20. FPS

Bombayduck replied to Joel's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Do you mean by adjusting that in the FMC? Just have a small other question... I have a laggy computer so it explains. In the exteriorview I have about 20 FPS locked, but when changing to VC, I have about 12 FPS for about 10 seconds, and then it goes down to about 8 FPS. 10 FPS is still fine for me, but below that number, it becomes annoying. Why can my computer handle the VC for a few seconds at 12-15 FPS and then drops to 8? All textures are already loaded so it doesn't have anything to do with that I guess. Have done everything explained in the intro, so guess there should be another explanation... Thanks in advance!!
  21. Have exactly the same thing!! Perfect performance outside, and when I swith to VC I have about 15 FPS for like 20 seconds and I can look around perfectly , but then it goes down real quick to about 8-9
  22. Oh ok, like in this picture http://www.b737.org.uk/brakepin.htm You learn things every day !!!
  23. I think PMDG developed the NGX more in the eyepoint of the pilot, this saying that the pilot handles failures in flight etc,... seeing how worn the brakes are, is something for the technicians! These brakes are actually located in the tires, in the wheel 'rims', so that would require you to take off the whole 'tire' http://www.aviationenterprises.co.nz/site/images/158360.JPG
  24. What does everyone actually mean with mouse cursor... Seeing the mouse with the arrow creates a hit or...??? Cause can you then click with the mouse if you can't see it, or are there other options like a small cross or so??
