  1. Regarding the airports:As we know, FSX has only few detailed airports. However, all other airports are not empty - they ALL have taxiways and buildings. The buildings are not real copy, but at least they placed at pretty close locations. It means, there is available data sources for building placements.I understand, it's not possible to build many detailed realistic airports. But it should be possible to autogenerate some type of buildings using at least the same data source as FSX is using. However, it's still not clear if XPlane 10 will have that autogenerated airport buildings and taxiways or airports will only have runways. Can someone from LR clarify that? Again, I'm not asking about detailed airports, but about airports that would have at least something autogenerated.Thanks.BTW, that "screenshot" of Santa Monica airport is just a picture from Wikipedia and not a screenshot...
  2. I've read somewhere that the Open Street Maps coverege is better than the source that FSX is using. So I think it will be pretty realistic object placement - better then in FSX. For those areas that OSM is not covering, LR mentioned they have some other sources. I think the object placement logic described in the original post is related to those areas, where there is no data source. In this case it will be very smart to generate scenery that way for those areas. Now the question is what data source Flight is going to use... Can someone comment based on the released screenshots that it's a better source than in FSX, or is it the same?
  3. Looks great to me...http://www.x-plane.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/night.png
  4. Hi,I'm wondering how those new airports developed by users as freeware will get to other users sim?Does it mean that for example if I want to fly from airport XXXX to YYYY, I will first go and search Internet for those airports scenery hoping that someone would already make them.Or will it be some other more convinient mechanism for distribution new airports? Thanks,Dmitry.
  5. Just wondering - what does it mean that there is no seasons? Is it like no winter - so you can fly only in summer time? Thanks.Really impressed with the new autogen, btw...
  6. WOW!Cloud shadows, sloped runways, great clouds and autogen and graphics. Now, if some 3party devs will create a great pmdg-level or similar aircrafts and custom scenery (aerosoft is going to) - what else do we need? (Oh, yes, I need an ATC - hopefully a voxATC level...)But if we get all these, that will be fantastic!
  7. I'm wondering if there going to be cloud shadows on the ground implemented? If not, will it be possible for 3party devs to implement this feature?XP10 looks very promising for me.Can't wait to try it.thanks.
  8. Hi,I bought Ezdok a couple days ago and I have exactly same problem.Does anybody know any solution for that? Thanks,Dmitry.
  9. Very nice screenshots! Is it default scenary or custom?
  10. OK, it looks like there is another sim available on the market right now and it's P3D. It's based on FSX, with fixed engine, will run on DX11 and has (or will have) all FSX bugs fixed. It can even be compatible with FSX addons. Is not it exactly what we all need? However, as I can see it's not new. It's already available for more than a year, if I'm not wrong... Why only now we've found out about it?So, what is the catch?Probably the new sim is not ready yet for prime time? Orbx says - get it if you would like to try it and go through the bugs (or something like that).
  11. In my case I did not really miss the waypoint - I just was not close enough to it during the wide turn.Anyway, I think it was fixed in 6.05.
  12. It didn't in my case. But it was only happening in that particular airport (brussel). Probably it was a problem with the airport add on...
  13. I had a similar problem. I could not get clearence no matter what I did.It turned out that in add on airports there some gates or parking spots that atc "does not recognize". In my case it was a gate that did not exist in the default airport, but it existed in the same addon airport. Once I moved to other gate, I got the clearence with no problems.Hope this will help...
  14. It happens if you miss your checkpoint. Atc is just trying to give you vectors to that point. Very annoying. A simple Request Direct command would be very helpfull in this case. Tegwyn promissed to think about it in the future versions.
  15. That was exactly my case. No problems with ASE.Thanks for the suggestion.
  16. I have ASE installed before NGX.I'll try to reinstall it... Thank you!
  17. I'm not using neither nHancer or nVidia Inspector
  18. I have the same problem.Someone here suggested to press ctrl-shift+enter or backspace to pan around. It helps, but in some time the cursor will freeze again. Very annoying especially when you are busy in flight...Hopefully, PMDG will fix it.I think we need to create a support ticket for that...Dmitry.
  19. yes, it did the trick. Thank you!
  20. Hi, Just bought the NGX and I have a problem with mouse in Virtual cockpit. When I loaded the plane first time, everything was working fine. However, now I can't use mouse in the VC to click on any switches or anything. Even the cursor does not change when it's over a switch. It's working fine in 2D. I have tried to switch to different plane (from 737-800 to 737-900) and sometimes the mouse will start working and sometimes it will not. More often it will not. Please, help. Dmitry Buga.
  21. when flying in Europe, I'm using this planer http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ as it automatically creates a plan with the first waypoint as an end of a SID and the last waypoint as a start of the STAR. So you don't have to try to predict anything. It works pretty well. Just read their help on how they build their plans for better understanding how it works. For US, I use realword plans from http://flightaware.com. These plans are already have the first and last point as end of SID and start of STAR. Also works very well. Enjoy!
  22. That's exactly what I do. Pick the aircraft, load flight plan into the FSX flight planner and that's it.I think, It's in the manual. There is no need for that load/save staff as far as I know.I'm not sure, but maybe it was required in the previous versions...
  23. The weather should not be a problem. I use ASE now. You just have to wait untill the weather is injected and then ask for clearance. I did not not have any problem with PFE or VoxAtc.Regarding the speech recognition. I don't use this feature much with VoxAtc. I just have my FO to communicate with ATC (including getting the clearance).
  24. I tried all 3 available ATC.The Vox ATC has the best features. The best one is the automatically assigned SIDS/STARS - no need to include them in the flight plan - ATC will find it according to the current runway and assign it to you in the clearance instructions (including transitions). It has many more. Read its manual and you can try it for free fully functional for 5 days. It has some minor problems (I think will be fixed in patches), but it's the most advanced ATC so far. Pro flight emulator is also a good one. It has the best descent path calculations in my opinion. For example, I always get cleared to start my descent just in time - before my TOD in mpdg 747, so I can use fmc's calculated descent profile. I use myTraffic 2010 and never had problems.I can't recommend radar contact. No sids/stars at all and there are no many features of the above two.
  25. Hi guys, How do you like it? Does it really make a difference? Thanks.
