    I have a feeling that if you all submit a ticket with all of your information, they will find something in common, such as something installed or a certain configuration you all share that is causing it, because I have never once had a crash with the plane, Not even an OOM or nothing. And Mind you, I have tons of addons installed on my machine.

    Do you have any failures active? You can check in The FMC: Menu-> Aircraft -> Failures.. and check for any active.

    When all else fails, save and reload your flight before top of descent.

    What's you Texture_max_load? What is your LOD_radius? What are your cloud's resolution set to? Do you fly with Ai traffic? How many sceneries are activated in your scenery library all at once?

    1. Try running ASN as administrator before running FSX. 2. If you have Fsiupc, Make sure it's the latest. 3. Make sure it is actually raining, what you're looking at in your screenshot of ASN are clouds. Not precipitation. FKKD METAR is now reporting -DZ, so come back after you've tried the steps, and give the radar at least 10 seconds to load the data before concluding it's broken. Sometimes it lags.

    This happened when I reinstalled the RTM and sp1 and then going straight to the 300 er without activating the 200lr first.

    Make sure to run ASN as administrator before starting fsx (as admin), AND make sure you have the latest FSUIPC just in case.

    - Disable any scenery you don't plan on flying into via scenery library -Change your Texture_Max_load to 2048 or below in FSX.cfg -Never use high res clouds ( 1024 or 512 only) - And the all time best way, Save flight at cruise, restart FSX and load the save.

    After a while of derping, I finally got the wxr to work. ( mistake of mine) Thanks to the PMDG dev team and no less the Beta team for this wonderful work of art. I am loving the radar so far and will be doing my first 300ER flight.

    Sean if you have FSUIPC set to auto save every 15-20 minutes that is definitely the reason for the freezes.

    I haven't seen a single thing on the ND flying through a storm near KMIA, and KATL wxr on automatic, regardless of gain setting. This is really doing my head in...

    If I go to KMIA, currently raining ( confirmed with ASN map) I get no precip draw. (WXR +4a VAR)

    Same problem here. I thought maybe there was something we had to with ASN in the documentation but I didn't find anything of a setup.

    I believe both the APU and engines can be suction fed.

    Only works with ASN. Opus does have a 3D precipitation model. In fact as of now, ASN is the only engine that does. I'm sure soon Steve at Opus software will create the data needed for radar integration with Opus. No one knows if it's even happening, though.
