  1. So you don't have any idea if he's back in the saddle, or he's still taking painkillers?
  2. I tell you, this makes Colombia's team look reaallly bad. My friends who happen to be from there are mourning. As someone who is partially German (grandfather) I am really enjoying this. Just in: 7 - 0

  5. He mean't '#####'. Has nothing to do with '######"
  6. Have you installed any sound packages for the NG?
  7. I agree about freeware textures such as HDEv2. Really my favorite cloud texture set. I only use REX for my water animations and water colors. That's literally it.
  8. Yes, but that's when you select it. I was talking about descending in Vnav. Let's say you're on FLCH, but the plane is descending too quickly, you'll be a low on profile, below glide slope far away, etc. So you increase power while on ARM, which makes airspeed increase, making the autopilot pitch up the plane resulting in lower Descent rate. ...Or you can just select vertical speed. lul.
  9. In ARM mode during descent, the aircraft will retard power prior to it, and follow the vertical profile. Sometimes you have to add or subtract power to maintain the speed bug, so the servos will disconnect. Let's say you have a tailwind on descent, and the wind suddenly starts dropping in speed. The IAS will drop below the pink speed bug. So, you would add a little power to maintain it.( unless you're already accelerating if the plane is on a steep descent.) If you fall below the bug by a certain amount, the AT will "wake up" and throttle up to bring you at the right speed.
  10. What you're seeing is the Total air temperature. They are warmer due to friction of the air passing through the skin of the aircraft. What the aircraft is "feeling" The temperature of the air is located on the CDU. Click PROG -> click next for Page 2, and you will see the SAT, The static air temperature, which is what you are looking for to compare to temperature data. You will see that is is very close to the forecast temps. Fact: If you slow down your airspeed, You will see the TAT drop because there is less friction, Once you get to a speed of 0 KIAS, It will be equal to Static air temperature.

    cockpit

From the product page: This product uses a full virtual cockpit and does not include 2D panels. (Some pop-up functions avail.)
  12. First half of July. Read the sticky in the general forum
  13. Not really. 777 Sp1, DC6, P3d Licensing, 747 v2 is the current priority according to Rob.
  14. Did you set the trim to line up with the little white pointer on the elevator trim indicator?
  15. Avsim front page. Just checking for anything new and interesting posts. Yeah.
  16. I usually keep avsim open on a tab while working, so I check back at least 3 times a day to find something interesting anywhere on avsim in addition to this forum area.
  17. They have that sound for the spoiler deployment in the NGX. Why would they leave it out?
  18. Both and more. You just chill while watching them fly, ask questions, fool around. But I mostly watch streams on my second monitor while I work. Strangely, I have no problem working like that.
