  1. This good info Stan, thanks for sharing ! 👍
  2. I think Lockheed Martin mentioned something recently, that they updated all of the default airport locations, to the REAL locations ... (probably with a google map program or soemething) I know this because, i already created my hometown airport for p3d4 and changed it to the "correct" location. .... before my creation, everything was a MESS man !!! 😒 (sigh) Maybe THATS why this is happening.
  3. I used rex too .... i got one question though ! Every time i load it i get this weird effect that, clouds or something like fog, cmpletely covers my sun ! have you noticed anything like this ?
  4. Captain420 Are you using "tomatoshade" ? ...because some settings in "tomato" program can somehow, change the looks of it. Changing the shaders, you know? Lighting settings, particle settings and so on....
  5. 🤔 hmmm.... You could also delete your scenery.cfg file and let P3D4 rebuild a new 1. Or through FTX central rebuild 1. But remember that it is going to delete all of your other scenery/entries...then you have to enter them again. This file is located in C-Program Data-Lockheed Martin-P3D4
  6. Ok, have you updated your graphics card driver ? Or maybe you can uninstall that scenery and reinstall again.?
  7. Nah, that's not a problem man 😉 I am just trying to be as much helpful as i can.
  8. Keep in mind that, some orbx textures, during the installation from orbx, go directly to the default texture folder..... ok ? And these textures do replace some default ground textures... ... NOW, since you re-installed everything in your simulator, then maybe these orbx textures are gone now. ...But i could be wrong, i'm not sure bout this. 🤔
  9. It doesn't matter if you are using "any" REX program, or active sky ... i don't think it affects them. As far as i know, Tomatoshade as a program knows by itself, to automaticaly delete your shaders and creates new ones, when you are done with your preferred settings.. THESE new ones, are going to take these changes that you make in tomatoshade.
  10. There was some old ones, but i don't know if they still exist. They are mostly done for FSX .. in low quality of course.
  11. ...and since that is a fresh installation as you say, don't forget to delete the "generated files"
  12. Where did you get this scenery from ?... Looks like a freeware to me.... Is it ? Maybe that's the problem ( not compatible with P3D)
  13. Pablo Hi man........ try this : 1) Open your XML files from that airport as "Wordpad". (right click with mouse, open as wordpad) 2) scroll with your mouse on this code text, down to the bottom. 3) click 1 time with your mouse AFTER the last word, or symbol, on the right side.... just the very last one. 4) IF you see your cursor blinking, ready to type the next word on the same line, then this is wrong. 5) In this case, you have to press 1 time ENTER on your keyboard, so that your cursor starts blinking UNDER the last coding line ...... in simple words, you need to have a blank line under the rest of that code. 6) close that xml file and save it. ... and THIS is how every XML file should be.... ALWAYS !!! I saw this from other games, THATS why i know it. Let me know if it worked for you Pablo and ..... happy flying 😉
  14. Yes, you can buy "flight replicas" for P3D4... I love this aircraft!
  15. I know this is an old post, but i'll say it anyway ..... I had exactly the same problem with Miami, the international one. However i fixed it myself with "airport design editor" and "ModelConverterX". ok, now let me give you an example for somewhere else: The problem was coming from the developers from an airport. It was the "wrong elevation". I noticed that in the simulator map, when i put my mouse over airport the elevation was (lets say for example :58,4 feet.) ...but the real elevation should be ( example: 59 feet) .... so, what THIS means is that, this tiny little bit of a difference on these numbers, can resault in this exact issue..... you understand what i'm sayin ? 😉 When i was on the runway, i turned the camera left. when the camera reached the grass, i saw shadows below the runway from my aircraft. But not over the runway. So, i opened the correct bgl file from the developer and started to look around..changed the elevation to correct number and................ BOOM !! 💥 😍 problem fixed. I hope this helps somehow ...... cheers, Dimitri. 🍺
  16. I tried this add-on ... it certainly needs some update man !! 😄 Hee hee... It was hilarious because some airports was laying in sea water. As i can see in the files, it was created back in 2008 so... no, don't use it. I am also using orbx vector, so i think orbx is changing, the terrain formations in this area and makes this scenery look WAY off.... I 'm not sure, i could be wrong, the thing is, it did not work correct for me.
  17. Is it this one here ? https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/7348/fsx-mcmurdo-ice-station-scenery/
  18. probably not compatible at all. But if you use any photoshop program or gimp to convert it, maybe it could do the trick.
  19. You should definitely go see some video on Youtube, some tutorial maybe,... could help you a little, you know? I do it all the time, if i face any issues sometimes.
  20. After uninstalling FSX, did you completly delete manually all the "leftovers"? FSX is not doing this automatically. I belive you know what i'm talking about...... Right ? Maybe the add-ons you are using need to be updated for 64bit... well some of them might work just fine...others might NOT, you know ? Also, make sure you have the latest "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables" installed in your windows because, many add-ons are using them i think, for example: Aerosoft aircrafts, or pmdg ... and so on..
  21. This is how my path looks like : C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Shaders make sure that this path, is correct..... maybe you are looking at a different folder. Is there another Lockheed Martin folder maybe ? If you don't have that "Shaders" folder in there, right click with your mouse and create a new folder. Give that new folder a name. just name it Shaders. And restart P3D4
  22. press ( control + space ) on your keyboard.
