  1. No, it's not you. Its broken. I have faith FSW will have it ironed out.
  2. Go to the windows start menu, then settings, applications. You will see one for the 414. Click on it once, and it will show the version installed
  3. New issue: pilots side /left nav light disappears at certain angles and zooms video of the issue
  4. PMS has a freebie version of the GTN750. It is basically a reskinned default G1000, which is now using some of the g1000nxi code. the TDS one is only paid, and uses the 750NXI Garmin Trainer software from Garmin themselves. This software functions superior in the navigation aspect to the PMS one since it uses the actual Garmin stuff.
  5. That click spot is the camera on the EFB. The click spot to bring it back is at the top of that little window.
  6. next Issue: Whiskey Compass spinning while heading north. Was doing an FSE flight into KGWO, whiskey compass did a full 360 spin in one direction, then a full 360 spin back. Did this the entire time I was heading towards rwy 36 there. Tested elsewhere and the same behavior. Small banks going back and forth across N cause it to do the 360 spin
  7. Manifold pressure will remain the same up until critical altitude due to the turbos. Critical altitude is like fl210 for these engines or about there.
  8. It is in an open beta/ early access state, as stated on their website. Should be a patch at the beginning of the week here sometime…should fix a lot of the little bugs that have been logged on their subforum here at Avsim
  9. Yeah it may have just been a fluke on his end....I cant seem to replicate it now that I am trying to.
  10. I could be wrong but the crossfeed, according to the manual would be lifted to close it. It Defaults to the lowered position which I would assume is open as its an emergency shutoff valve. Edit: Can confirm, lifting it shuts off. Defaults to lowered which is what his was. I was watching him on discord stream.
  11. After 15-20 hours flying mine on FSEconomy some thoughts/bugs. I wont rehash all the ones already spoken before 1.) Hoskins computer: I have tried tried tried my damndest to get this to work right. Ive read the manual several times but I cannot get the fuel totalizer to work in Gal Rem function. I have set the fuel correctly following the manual on the initial startup but never using any fuel on the Hoskins. A second issue is I cannot get it to reset to the initial mode after completing a flight. I land, fully shutoff the plane but when powered back up the Hoskins reverts into Gal Rem mode instead of the Verify/initialization mode. 2.) Slip/Turn indicator ball almost never moves even with lots of rudder deflection. 3.) We found earlier tonight that the left engine will not pull from the right tank initially. Another customer on our FSE discord had taken off in his and the left tank was super low and his right tank was almost full. He swapped the left engine to pull from the Right tank but it would not pull. It kept pulling from the left tank until dry and the engine cut off even with the selector on right tank. He ended up clicking the tank to left then to right and got the engine to refire then and start pulling from the right engine. Bit of a weird one that. 4.) Fuel flow is very high. 5.) Don't really notice a difference in CHT with cowl flaps open/close but I have been flying in cooler climates. Also no speed difference from what I can tell with them open/closed. 6.) Oil pressure is always 80... All the other little bugs I think have been brought up before. Nothing that prevents us from flying the plane. I am happy with it and I know every product I purchased from P3D until now from FSW has had extensive support and patches. Probably the best in the business in all honesty. Keep up the good work!
  12. And this is why the manual states to turn on Auto Mixture (i know...it pains me too) due to the issues within msfs. Hopefully asobo can fix the issue and we can all get some good mixture controls going on.
  13. Is it perfect? God no. Does it have some annoying bugs? Yup. Does it work “correctly” most of the time? Usually if you stay within it’s limitations. If you can catch it on sell, it’s worth it. Full price? If you have a chubby for CRJ’s sure.
  14. TDS. It uses the garmin trainer like our old favorite RXP one. The PMS is a decent reskin on the default gps although they have begun to use some of the g1000nxi code which should help it immensely.
  15. Did a short 20 minute hop earlier from KSAN to KCRQ. Startup was just fine. Some of my bound switches don’t work (battery etc) but it’s just as easy to click the bar and toggle the switches. Idle sound was glorious. Taxi was uneventful. It was nice seeing the shocks move with the inertia of the plane while turning on the ground. Takeoff roll was good. Little twitchy on the rudder but that’s MSFS. Rotated, pitch was a slight twitch my but that could have been more on me than anything as the axis didn’t feel as excessive once in the air. Departed to the west off 27, turned north over the water and punched in KCRQ on the TDSgtnxi. Did the rnav into 24 just to see. Hand flew the whole thing. Quick climb to 8000 for dunby and then back down following the procedure. Zero issues. So far it’s pretty amazing. If it was a 421 I may have called into work to spend the day flying but beggars can’t be choosers here. I will post an initial thoughts video this weekend probably Sunday to my YT channel. Kudos to FSW for once again exceeding my expectations. Now to finish this and give us all the Lear 35……
  16. $39 for a full fidelity piston twin with good graphics/modeling? It’s dirt cheap for the hours of flying she will get….
  17. Yeah I posted over on their support forum. Im sure its something ive messed up
  18. So I picked up the TDS one, currently using the Turbo Arrow....interface is very laggy in the VC. I dont see any settings about this, and when I watched like Q8 pilots video it was not nearly as laggy. Odd. IF i pop the screen out, it is zero lag. Hmmmmm
  19. How can they make an airbus when the Twotter was sooooo advanced they couldn't animate trims.....#ConfusedLoL
  20. woah woah woah woah....I thought the animations on the "most complex model in MSFS" were too stressful for the poor xbox users?
  21. Nice. I was born and raised in Carlsbad. Used to work at an old FBO there, Jet Source for a number of years in the very late 90's-early 2000's. It certainly has built up since then.
  22. You got me…a year and 4 months…still stupid money for what it is.
  23. Performance will be worse FPS wise from same settings in a lower resolution to 4k. I ended up keeping similar high settings for everything but turned the render scaler down to 80 when I made the switch. 2070 Super, and I prioritize 45-60fps for the smoothness of feel and Track IR vs the "all you need is 30 fps" school of thought. I can easily tell the difference between the two, especially when moving my head for track IR. Id love to get a newer 3080 card but I'm not paying the price of a crappy used car for a 2yr old product now.
  24. the NXI is much more powerful than the current version of the GTN. Until the GTN devs figure out a way of making the trainer inject into MSFS, the current gtn is more just a visual upgrade for the existing planner etc imo. Some nice benefits as well and the interface is better (be nice if RXP can ever figure out how to get it to run) but as far as navigation goes the NXI is better at it, thanks to the redesigned navigation maths, AP etc included with it.
  25. Worked yesterday for me, not working today at least in Europe where I am doing my FSE flights today. My guess it is server side.
