  1. "It's a game not a real simulator like my beloved xplane. Anything Austin says means he is 100% right and nothing can compete." Also Xplane users https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/34231-star-trek-borg-cube-2365-ad/
  2. I am convinced *insert whatever resolution I like* is the best. The best is whatever you like. We have options. No need to make threads trying to convince yourself one way or the other.
  3. Different strokes for different folks. I agree with Micstatic. After running a true 4k the past year it’s hard to go to anything else when playing the the flat panel vs vr. I’ve messed with a curved before and while the extra real estate on the width is nice, the lack of vertical resolution was off putting to me. Not saying one or the other is better, it was just my personal experience.
  4. Fixed with some new code workaround/fuel controller in the 414 code in beta 2.2
  5. You don’t anymore. This issue was a was a ton of updates ago and has been fixed. The latest version, the full release, manual explains it.
  6. Oooo that line in the SDK roadmap…unencrypted deluxe/premium aircraft…that opens up a whole new world for us
  7. Using the longitude fde mod, I’m generally on approach around 140 knots, final in the 120’s bleeding off until touch down. Full flaps. Put like 460 hours on mine in FSE. I fly it a lot lol.
  8. Nothing will "eliminate" that. You are always going to be one or the other really. You will probably see far better results just tweaking your settings than a cpu swap unless your going for a weird 1080p high refresh rate setup for msfs for some odd reason.
  9. Initial thoughts: its 15 usd so I dont have the highest expectations. It is the Carenado of old made for msfs. It flys ok. Looks good in 2d and in VR. Engine sounds are underwhelming to say the least. Basic AP (no fault there) I do wish it had vc tds gtn integration. Otherwise its an ok plane. Not the most involved but certainly not a bad value.
  10. Out of three new tubes with the pc specs listed in the signature at 4k, the best is the 737. The Maddog is a close second by a couple of frames. Very similar but the PMDG does win it out by like 2-3fps. The worst is easily the Fenix. Still playable but noticeably worse in fps performance.
  11. Lots of users have reported similar issues, and it turns out they have some of the assistance settings turned on (usually unbeknownst to them). Upon re-turning off all the assistance options at PMDG's suggestion they found the plane follows the line very well. Worth a look. It would not be the first time MSFS turned on a setting without someone doing it themselves.
  12. Both are fine planes. Kudos to us having several good choices for GA piston twins now. Graphics: the recent update to the 414 made a big difference here. Prior I though the cockpit was better on the 414, external on the 310. Now I’d say they are close on the external and the 414 is still superior in the cockpit. Flight model: Both are convincing. 414 is heavier and more stable, 310 is a bit twitchy in some aspects but not having any seat time in either I can only judge by my assumptions from other planes. They both feel like I would “expect them to”. Draw here. Systems: 310 has more depth with the persistence options. I still prefer the 414. You can’t go wrong with either but as others have mentioned I love that 70’s/80’s feel of the cockpit. I prefer the shape of the 414 to the 310 and I fly it exclusively on FSE. Perfect for the 200 mile + sectors as it allows it to climb into the flight levels and do what it was meant for. If I was doing multiple 100 mile low and slow hops the 310 would possibly be a better fit. You can’t make a bad purchase with either. and as others have said, get the TDS 750xi.
  13. Why? The performance of the 737 is better using the c++/wasm setup than those running js/html/external .exe’s. No need to rewrite to a “slower” language just to have access to some things that are already in the pipes for the other languages.
  14. The performance part is going to be subjective. Some people are very content to have 20-30fps. Some aren't. I am in the latter camp. If I was in the former it would be a non event. Not sure how I feel about this one. While the EFB is fantastic. So many little features on it. Guess Im spoiled by the fps performance of the maddog and especially the 737. Im not a huge bus fan. Spent about 30 minutes going through the Chucks guide to get me off the ground on my first real decent haul flight (planned 2 hours). Engine sounds need some love. It may even be real...but the droning on repeat in the cockpit is annoying. Seems to fly well and do the fms things you want it to do though. Not upset I bought it, but probably wont be my main narrow body tubeliner.
  15. Yeah I couldn’t get the tug to actually push me back. Brakes off, no chocks.
  16. Initial thoughts: Disappointed in the performance. After the butter smoothness that the 737 and almost to the same extent the md82 gave the vast majority of us, to have this launch with significantly worse fps across the board feels like a big let down. Feels like going backwards to P3D and Xplane launches where we used different graphics settings for different planes to claw performance back. Bad on Fenix for this. Tablet is pretty cool though. Props to them for this. purchase and validation extremely easy. Once again Kudos to them for this as well.
  17. Hence the easy is in quotes. You missed the whole tone of my post. You must be a hoot at parties.
  18. Lets see... I wake up from a long day of sleeping after a long night at work... Check Avsim to make sure the flame wars over which game is better are still going strong Yup. Good way to make sure I'm still alive and this isn't a dream.
