You should plan to overclock with a setup like that. Ensure you have top notch cooling system in place. You could create your own water cooling loop or cheat and get the Corsair H100, I went against my better judgement and got the H100 and its actually not too bad for what it is. I run i5 2500k at 4.2ghz without any voltage tweaks and using intelburntest my temps dont go higher than 62 degrees. the H100 is noisey though. If you want to cool with air, then go for either the prolimatech megahalems or noctua NH-D14-2011 You're also going to need a decent PSU to run, Id say go for an 850W psu possibly 1000w psu so you can add to the machine in the future. Everyone wants FSX maxed, it doesnt always happen, so dont be disappointed when your £1300 doesnt max it out.

I fixed it.. Wrong drivers ffs.

Im currently trying to install the drivers for my X52 (not pro)But when i get to the 'please plug in your device' page' nothing happens after ive plugged it in.Ive tried running as admin and non admin and theres no diffence.The program doesnt hang.And i dont see the device in device manager.I have found the stick in the device manager now.Please help!ThanksJack

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but im currently having this problem. It was working fine as of yesterday and I havent installed anything new.Even when pressing the CTRL+SHIFT+H and press =/- to change the value, the value still increases in multiples of ten, which is the same for the speed, altitude and VS indiciator

Anyone interested in flight simulation, will buy or already own fsx, fsx9, dcs A-10/Blackshark, IL42, ROF, COD, Xplane.MS' target consumer base is the same base which has Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo. Products that people buy over and over again relentlessly even though there isnt much difference.

I think some of the answers are little to closed.Definately try the game out, but as for purchasing anything else for the game, would entirely depend on how well the add-on was made.I mainly fly around europe in the 734. If they modeled europe in one neat little package Id spent £20 on it. If they made a 734 compareble or better than the Wilco. Id probably buy that too.I fly for a VA, will my VA move to flight? probably not because its not the entire world.

Did you reseat your CPU? if so, did you apply enough thermal paste to cover the cpu?Did you install the RAM correctly?Try unplugging the HDDs and booting up. You maybe able to get into bios and reset default settings.Is there a switch on the back of the PSU?if so,Ensure switch is off. Hold down the main power button, flip the psu switch on.KEEP HOLDING DOWN THE ON BUTTONAt the moment the system comes 'alive' (So to speak considering your machine sounds dead), Turn off the psu switch.continue to hold down the power button for a 60 seconds or so to remove any residule power that may lurk.Turn the machine back on, see what it does.If that fails, you could unplug your power cable, remove the battery from the mobo and then hold down the on button for 60ish seconds to remove any residule power. Leave the battery out for a while 10-15 minutes.PLug the battery back in, connect the power cable and switch back on.

Buy it anyway, Looks to be great scenery with a couple of nice aircraft to fly.

I think the idea of a virtual hanger would be excellent, Something which you could walk around and then walk around the insides of the aircraft, with the ability to open pretty much anything openable. Maybe the openable everything is a looong way off, or perhaps this would be an acceptable request on the small aircraft.As MS dropped the simulation from the title, to encourage future generations to the title, perhaps they plan to incorporate some sort of career side of the game. Thus not tying your aircraft down and covering up the vents at the end of a flight would cause more mechanical problems later down the lines.
