  1. Do you have the latest .NET drivers? Try updating your Windows...
  2. My ticket has been opened for some time now. It has not been resolved with any of the updates...
  3. This topic was already brought up. Apparently there weren't enough people with the same "problem" so then it was put on a To Do list to be addressed later as specified in my support ticket with PMDG. I advised anyone with the same issue to contact PMDG support to create a ticket. See below http://forum.avsim.net/topic/447668-wxr-test-ctd-troubleshooting/
  4. Why would anyone want to change perfectly great looking lights?

    Oom Over ?

My OOM problem was solved after updating .NET drivers by using the Windows Update. I'm actually using the 331.82 NVidia driver set. I do not use the autogen and my water texture are set to Low 2x setting. LOD remains at 4.5 with average VAS usage of 2.5gb at peak. It fluctuates mostly between 1.8 and 2.2 with peak at take off and landing. Did my first 6 hour flight yesterday KJFK>EGLL. I'm actually flying EGLL>KLAX at this time. My current VAS is at 2gb, maxing out at 2.4 at take off.
  6. Did anyone else have a chance to attempt this?
  7. Yes thank you. They also confirmed they they are working on a 64bit version of P3D but with no timeline.
  8. Why are we constantly being warned? If people don't listen then they should be blocked until they fix the issue. No warning needed. PMDG has its hands full right now. Last thing they want to do is go on the forum and start deleting posts.
  9. Go to control panel and check to make sure you installed your sound control panel and check its settings. Additionally, your motherboard/soundcard needs to be 5.1 compatible. Lastly check to ensure you plugged the wires into the corresponding jacks. There are times you won't hear anything from rear speakers depending on a scenario. The sound creator must place the logic for them to be used. Also check to make sure PMDG OC you have downloaded the 5.1 sound set and are using them.
  10. Every other post is regarding the OOM's I think they got the message.
  11. I'm more optimistic about P3D future once they convert to 64-bit. I believe they are already using DX11 graphics. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=5094
  12. Yes thank you for your input. The link you have specified came with a statement from Dovetail which I am fully aware of. PC World had a somewhat different statement. That's what I wanted to share. ;-)
  13. Full Story: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2452701/flight-simulator-is-dead-but-microsofts-revered-game-will-be-revived-under-a-new-name.html Microsoft abandoned its revered Flight Simulator series years ago, but the underlying technology is about to make a comeback. Dovetail Games, a company best known for the Train Simulator series, has licensed the Flight Simulator engine from Microsoft and plans to release a new game in 2015. While the game won't be an official “Microsoft Flight Simulator” release, it will be based on the same technology. Dovetail will also re-release 2006's Microsoft Flight Simulator X through Steam. While the deal doesn't allow Dovetail to improve the game's outdated graphics, PC Gamer reports that Dovetail is working on bug fixes and a new multiplayer service. (Flight Simulator X's multiplayer had previously relied on GameSpy, which shut down earlier this year.) Many Flight Simulator aficionados consider Flight Simulator X to be the last true version of the game, as Microsoft laid off the series' development team in 2009. A free-to-play flight simulator game, called Microsoft Flight, came in 2012, but it was poorly-received by critics and quickly abandoned by Microsoft. Not to be outdone, Lanimar Research announced that its rival flight simulator X-Plane 10 is also coming to Steam shortly. The “ultra-realistic” simulator had previously been available on DVD only. Perhaps all this activity will lead to new golden age for airplane games that don't involve blowing stuff up.

    Oom

It is not recommended to install FSX into a system protected directory such as "program files". Install in the root of "C" drive or another separate hard drive. Your performance should increase as well.
  15. We all have this issue. There must be a memory leak somewhere that they cannot locate. We are all eagerly waiting for updates. But yes, PMDG is aware of such issue. Just bear with the rest of us.
  16. Can you please create a support ticket so that they are aware of the issue?
  17. Yes...I probably should have mentioned that.
  18. So I have created a ticket with PMDG regarding this issue and we have yet to identify the culprit behind the scenes. The problem I am having is that every time I press the "TEST" button on the "WXRDR" pedestial (SHIFT+7) I have get CTD. EVERY time. To sum it up, I have tried different liveries, used both, 2D pop up and in the VC button. As a last resort, a clean install of the 773. Support staff states that they do not have any reports of this button causing any issues for anyone else. I was wondering if I can have some of you try this out and report back on the status of the outcome for you. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. That doesn't sound right. I would submit a support ticket.
  20. Do you test your TCAS before a flight? Does it pass/fail?
  21. There is no need to put a subwoofer under your chair. They made a buttkicker for that purpose. Check it out http://www.thebuttkicker.com
