I think we forgot A2A, they have some nice GA birds lined up, and what ever happened to that bloke at Lotus sim, I think we might expect something from him this year...He did cancel the mig 29 but he has something else in the works.

When was the last time PMDG did fictional stuff (well except for the pogostick and (censored) in the (censored) compartment in the NGX (don't want to spoil the fun for the guys that still haven't found them). Yes, I know, I am a repainter, but the quality of modifications is much better when you have source files. Each time you decompile a dds and then recompile it, you loose a bit of quality....

If PMDG gave us some of the source files used for making the cockpit texture, I am sure some of the talented painters could make a mod for gray cockpit. But that will 99% not happen, so we can only dream...

I quite agree, my best experiences with developers have been with PMDG and A2A, and as far as worst goes, I think it is the guys "that must not be named" (because they are developing a 777) :lol:

I am a reporter for avsim news, that is why I have a "staff" banner, I do not have any special forum authority. I am saying this strictly as a forum user. I apologize to Steven if it sounded harsh, but it is more helpful for the people browsing the forums in the future to have titles of topics that actually relate to the problem. Offcourse you can't put 4 problems in 1 title, but you can put some, or open two topics for unrelated problems.

And in the future, try and make the title of your topic a bit more user friendly, the title "major problems" doesn't reveal any information what so ever. You could have tried "holes in exterior model" or "FMC doesn't recognize waypoints". It makes it easier for people experiencing the same problem to look it up here. Cheers.

Do you have service based failures on? How did you disconnect the autopilot on the previous flight? If you yanked the yoke violently, you could have broken the autopilot shear pins. Check the cdu maintenance page and see what it says.

It probably can, you just need to find the texture file that contains it. Check every texture in the NGX folder :)

Are you on the ground near the refueling station of the airport? If so, the doors won't open. Is the aircraft depreasurized? Connect ground power, disconnect it and try again. Let us know if it worked...

I know that is a problem with shockwave but If he really wants brighter lights, that is his only option. NGX lights are built into the model and you can't edit them.

Yes, they help, but they get you from 265 knots to 250 knots. They will not help you in a 6000 feet per minute descent at 290 knots you are doing because you were late turning off the tv and getting back to your computer chair :lol:

You can enable that setting in the cdu but I would advise against it unless you have throotles with servos that actually move when the auto throttle moves the levers. I keep mine in "override only in arm/hold modes" which enables me to perform an RTO by just pulling the levers back and still not having my auto throttle disengage in climb/cruise whenever I accidentally touch my joystick.

No1. Lets start with some basic forum rules: You need to SIGN your posts with your FULL name. (the easiest thing is to add it to the signature, so it is automatically there whenever you post). No2. The name of your topic should have something to do with the problem you are experiencing, for example, the correct name would be "problem programing FMC", or "trouble imputing flight plan". We know you need help, you wouldn't be posting if you didn't. Now to your problem: I doubt that you have read the whole fcom (it is 1000+ pages) :lol: , but you don't need to look there. PMDG have included two tutorial flights with the airplane (you can find them in fsx/pmdg/pmdg 737 ngx/flight manuals folder). I sugest you go through both of them, it is explained step by step. You can import your flight plan, but you should really learn how to import one yourself, it is really easy once you get the hang of it.

Not related to your problem, but you should be including a brief description of the problem in the title of the topic. For example: topic should be called "NGX crash with fs pasengers x" insteat of the whole "help needed" thing. Yes, we know you need help, you wouldn't be posting your problem if you didn't, but you could make it a bit user friendlier for the people trying to help you... And, by the way, this IS just another ngx post, all posts in the this forum are :lol:

I guess you could always add shockwave 3d lights, but I wouldn't do it. I think that the ngx lights are done perfectly.
