  1. I can't seem to get it to display. Any sugestions?
  2. Yes, you should definetly use nvidia inspector to control your graphics. Here is the topic that really helped me set up http://www.simforums.com/forums/fsx-and-nhancer-settings-for-new-drivers-updated_topic36586.html
  3. Your spoilers are ment to reduce lift, not to increase drag. You would need speed brakes (like on military jets or fokker 100) to reduce speed quicker. The key is planning ahead, spoilers aren't a magical solution for reducing your speed. I have to use the spoilers in the air maybe once in 10 flights, and I use as2012.
  4. You could have used google. It is a company that makes fsx aircraft. On their FW190, VC textures are 4096x4096. I've seen the difference TML does with fslabs concorde. It was set to 1024 and I couldn't read a thing. I moved it to 4096 and everything was readable. If you go to your ngx folder and open texture.vc, you'll find that there are files 2048x2048. They can't be displayed corectly unless tml is =>2048.
  5. +1 on that one. I would also sugest the feature for cockpit anunciators...
  6. No1, max size of vc textures can be 4096, the NGX ones are 2048 but classics hangar made them at 4096. Even so, setting of 1024 will make them blurrier, No2, if you kept it at 1024 since the begining, you don't notice any bluries. Try putting it to 4096 for a flight and then going back to 1024, trust me, you will feel it. If you look carefully at his screenshot, you will notice that the main panel labels are blury, and yet the displays are crystal clear. If it were a inspector thing, it would blur everything...
  7. Ok guys, nothing major, but they should be fixed. 1) The door open warning lights on the overhead panel shut off as soon as I hit door close button in the cdu, in reality, I guess they would only turn off after the door is closed and locked, the light is asociated with the button command and not the animation itself. 2) windshield wiper animation goes out off sync: try flicking the wipers to on, and just as the wiper blade reaches top of its travel and heads down turn it off. The wiper goes back to top, and then down to stowed position. Shouldn't it go down straight away?
  8. My general opinion is that the larger the aircraft the more fuel inbalance it can tolerate. I don't think it would be too much of a problem in the 737, because, if it were, I assume they would have put in a fuel dumping system. If you imagine the situation where one fuel tank has a leak and runs completely dry, and the asociated engine is shut down (as you can't operate fuel crossfead with a fuel leak) you would have a rather serious imbalance, and you could only compensate by dumping some of the fuel from the remaining tank prior to landing.
  9. Check your fsx.cfg, see that your TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096.
  10. Yes, but, if you passed v1, you have enough airspeed to maintain directional control using the rudder. He was talking about starting takeoff with only 1 engine.
  11. You can set throotles to overpower servos always or only in arm/hold modes. The former is useful if you have throttle with servos, and the later to perform rto-s
  12. You never takeoff with one engine inoperative. In the simulator, it is even more difficult because of the sh**y ground physics (thank you microsoft) -.-
  13. I don't think you can accidentally disengage autobrakes in rto with brake pedals because, to disengage them, you would have to apply more manual braking then the autobrake is already applying. If you have a spoiler lever asigned, maybe the conflict is there because autobrakes will disarm when you retract the speedbrakes...
  14. Every forum needs a good cleanup every now and then....
  15. Something messed up your fsx fonts folder. Reinstall, then copy all fonts starting with pmdg from that folder to windows fonts folder and it should work.
  16. The deer is still the best part B)
  17. Well, you know what they say: If you want something done right, do it yourself. It is a relatively simple paint job, you will have a bit of a hard time aligning the stripes at the tail section, but other than that, you'll be fine. Oh, you expected someone else to do the work for you.... Good luck with that
  18. Wouldn't it be great if PMDG did every plane out there? Yeah, I am sure it would, but it isn't possible. DA / Aerosoft are making a CRJ as we speak which will (judging by the DA Fokker quality) be PMDG level-ish. Yes, I know it has been delayed for years, but it is getting there...
  19. It is called placebo. You were siting in the best fsx airliner which is 99.995% realistic. Your brain added the remaining 0.005%.
  20. Yeah, I know it isn't standard, but I tend to use as little automatization as I possibly can so I don't use to/ga or autoland for that matter. I always disconect the autopilot before capturing the localizer and do it manually. As for the use of reverse thrust, I only practised rto-s in normal circumstances with everything working just as a test. In case of engine fire or failure, I wouldn't use reverse and I would extend the spoilers manually.
  21. I don't push the TO/GA button for auto thrust takeoff. I hit it once with a/t off to arm the fd takeoff mode, and then flip the a/t to arm. If I want to rto, I move the levers to reverse and brakes and spoilers kick in automatically.
  22. He did say "eye candy" so it has to be brand spankin' new.
