  3. never thought of it that way! thank you mate, maybe there is hope after all
  4. yeah, either that or don't model it at all!
  5. Ha Ha, a few wise cracks can never hurt anybody! I guess USA and AUS are fairly different places, we drive on the other side of the road, we use the metric system etc etc.. I guess (in my experience in the industry) we just like to use a/p, (and don't get me wrong, i've done plenty of hours hand flying, but when you fly that often, especially after a big night drinking, its one less thing you have to focus on when flying.. But I suppose the point of this topic is to discuss the Maule's A/P, and i guess if they are going to model the A/P into the virtual cockpit, it should at least be functional..-Nicko
  6. well I DO work for a flight training academy who trains pilots from ab initio to commercial airline pilots and nothing in between, so it makes sense why i've always maintained/flown aircraft with an A/P.. And I suppose when Australia is as big as it is, stick flying can get a bit tiresome (some would argue that's hardly an excuse!)
  7. vast majority of GA aircraft haven't got autopilot? vast majority, in fact ALL GA aircraft i've flown/maintained have an autopilot.. the maule in FSX had a functioning AP, so why not the MSF maule?
  8. great post.. surely we'll find a way to modify aircraft textures, and maybe one day we can work out how to add scenery/aircraft into flight the old way!
  9. It is only human for us not to like change. Whether or not this change is for the better or worse, we are yet to find out.
  10. you can play fsx with a xbox 360 controller, doesn't mean i'm playing an xbox 360
  11. is it worth the $2500 flight from Melbourne, Australia?
  12. I don't get it. i'm sorry, I truly don't. this game is FREE and you're all complaining!?if the whole world, plus extra aircraft costs $-100 it'd still be the same as buying another release of FS (FSX costed me $100AU when it first came out)I bet you people wouldn't complain if the game cost $-$100 if it came with all the worlds scenery...
  13. do you also think rain and clouds are overrated?
  14. why would they release it after Christmas though?
  15. if it's not a game, what is it? if its not a game, what is it?
  16. is there some sort of button that does this?
  17. am i the only person who is sick of all this speculation?
  18. The thing that worries me with this "store" is Microsoft. will they allow 3rd party developers? without 3rd party developers i wouldn't have bought fsx.
  19. very interesting read oktorn777, i agree that ms should have moved to a physics driven game, but just remember this software is for the public, and not for professionals
  20. is there actually any solid evidence that you will have to buy scenery areas? maybe MS are just using hawaii as a scenery demonstrator or something? who knows until the release date i suppose
  21. not to mention the australians!
