  1. Yes, it's in the armed/capped position as per FCOM. Are you aware of any other ancient lighting controls apart from the dome lights and the panel lights? Thanks for your interest
  2. Yup, checked and is off. When I turn it on it gets brighter or more bright. Confused. Thought those were the only ambient lighting controls
  3. Hi all! I was doing a few night flights and I'm embarrassed to say that I'm puzzled. There an ambient light in my cockpit that keeps it far to bright for my comfort and I can't find how to switch it off. Anybody knows how to do that? I thought I knew all the lighting controls but have obviously missed this one. I found several images depicting the NGX's cockpit in a full dark lighting with just the instruments illuminated and I would like to achieve that. Please have a look at my screenshot below, Regards
  4. Hi all. In my recent two flights on the 600 model I realized that my co-pilot and cabin/ground crew are not audible anymore. They (I think) perform their tasks as normal, but they're completely mute. Has anybody had a similar issue and knows the solution? Regards
  5. Hi! Are you sure it's not dependent on the equipment you're using rather than the livery? It could be one of the options. Regards
  6. I usually don't comment on threads like this but please! For God's sake! This is the most absurd utility I've ever heard of! It's a game changer in the way that it'll make it a "game" not a simulation. Might as well just get Microsoft Flight or call of duty as for that. If you don't have the time to fly a long haul, don't fly it!!!! (sorry for the rant)
  7. Sorry for stating the obvious, but have you also selected. "high quality VC" in the fsx configuration menu?
  8. With Kyle, Luke and Richard on this one. I wouldn't buy a repaint anyway but who really cares? Only times I look at the airplane from the outside is when I'm in cruise or before a flight when I load up to check that my actual position corresponds to the intended gate/parking spot. Then I really couldn't give a toss about shiny rivets, can't really see them from the cockpit.
  9. Mh I agree! Anythinj over a week I'd assume something's wrong. Posting here it's probably the right idea to get a head's up. I'm sure Ryan or somebody else from the house it's gonna notice soon and the can at least point you out in the right direction. Regards
  10. Hi Neil. What timescale are you talking? Hours? Days?
  11. Hi Ray, I don't know what happened to that thread. Let me know how it goes with your system otherwise (if it's ok with the files developers, both PMDG and whe ground roll official developer) I'll email you the files
  12. Hi Ray. If you do a search on this forum for "the NGX ground enhancement thread" or something similar you'll find what you're looking for. I have accufeel and that enhancement and I still use that one instead. It changes/adds some sound files that work pretty well to improve the takeoff/landing sounds.
  13. I suppose the place to discuss that would more appropriately be the majestic forum and not the PMDG one...
  14. Hello! Have you tried cycling through the SYS and ENG buttons located just above the upper MFD? They're used to display or hide information about the systems. Don't know if it's the same on Airbus, I always thought French make awesome cheese and should stick to that! ;-) happy flights
  15. Not another one of those threads! Don't want to be rude guys but there's about a thousand of threads exactly like this one on this forum already, and there's a search button too! Happy flights ;-)
  16. Hi all! I was just wondering whether bearing/bearing, bearing/distance and other custom type waypoints are supported by the FMS? Thanks all
  17. Hi! Don't want to sound patronizing. Are you sure it's not the wind? What weather and weather addon did you have when you noticed the issue?
  18. Hi! What's your condition axis assigned to? I can confirm I use an X52pro with the j41 with no issues whatsoever
  19. Fair enough. If that's the case then please accept my apologies, I must have misread your posts. I leave nVidia users to share they're advice as I'm on the ATI side Regards
  20. Daniel. Here's my advice and that's the end of it from my part. Contact PMDG directly stating that 1. The cockpit colours are inaccurate and you're very sure of it because you've been in the cockpit of a 737 3 times and maybe you remember they were different and the yoke was blacker 2. You're so sure of it that you reply in a very presumptuous way to the information that two strangers have chosen to share with you to help choosing to completely ignore it 3. Completely bypass the fact that, hear hear, PMDG as well was in a NG's cockpit to develop the NGX and, as it has been stated over and over again in this thread and about a gazillion of others that were pointed out earlier in this thread, they've got the colour/lightning pretty much spot on. 4. The allegedly wrong colours are bugging you so much that you can't enjoy the revolutionary technology and beautiful model of the NGX but instead you find yourself helplessly staring at the slightly less black yoke Maybe they can help. I surely can't MED1473 over and out Ps that poor quality picture is suspiciously similar to the NGX's cockpit
  21. Daniel. I wasn't talking about night lightning either, simply stating that the same principle applies to both. The NGX's colours are right and the pictures are wrong simply because of the camera's settings through which the picture has been taken. That principle has been exhaustively discussed in the nmiriad of topics about the "night lightning" being wrong. No difference wether by day or night colours in photos can be quite a bit off from reality.
  22. Hi Daniel. Yours it's an old topic and if you do a search on this forum for "cockpit lighting" you'll find your answer. Essentially, it's the pictures that you see that are off, not the NGX. This is due to the photographer's settings when taking the picture (like white balance, aperture, etc.)
  23. Hi! Fsx ATC is wildly inaccurate, using it and hoping for any resemblance of reality is perhaps too much of am expectation. From your questions it looks like you would really benefit from flying the two excellent tutorials that come with the NGX. You'll find they answer a lot of your questions. Regards
  24. Thanks a lot Mike, appreciate the help! Will give it a try this afternoon! Cheers
  25. Hi all! I'm planning to do a few circuits for training purposes on IVAO and I am unsure about a couple of points. If anybody cares to answer it'd be much appreciated! 1. Do I require to file a flight plan? 2. If so, what do I need to put in the flight plan itself? 3. What is the radio terminology and the communications required? 4. Are there any other restrictions apart from those specified on the airport briefing notes? Thank you in advance!
