  1. Reminds me of this from UK comedy comic Viz, referencing a popular sitcom about a married couple eponymously titled ‘Terry and June’:
  2. As previously mentioned, it’s probable that this kind of marketing buzz helps keep drawing people into the user base and ensuring the business model of the core sim is viable. How many developers in total have they now got in the Asobo / WT / Bing / INI / Gaia / etc. / etc. system now working on the sim? I’m sure they can spare a handful for this kind of thing.
  3. It does sound very natural, but not working with other traffic plus the high probability that most of what they’re selling will be in the sim by default at some point (given MS’ investments / holdings in AI) are non-starters. And then we need to talk about that eye-watering pricing…
  4. Yes, that’s the situation I described originally. Mets737’s workaround does work until they fix it properly (it’s been flagged on Nvidia’a forums so hopefully around the release of the 5000 series…)
  5. Just to add to this, I'm not sure it's essential to add them in the same order, just make sure they're the same filters you used originally.
  6. Lol, that actually works. As you say, not ideal, but it does definitely reduce the number of clicks necessary to get the settings back. Frustrating, as it suggests the profiles are actually being saved somewhere…
  7. Yeah it keeps setting the intensity to 30% when I want it at 5%
  8. Not sure if it’s the recent driver update or MSFS update, but my filter settings keep changing every time I start the sim. Categories are saved, but settings keep changing. Anyone else using game filter seeing this?
  9. Looking into my crystal ball, I predict that a) CTDs will not, in fact, be eliminated entirely in MS2024, and b) even if they are and all issues you have complained about so far are resolved, you will still find something to be very, very unhappy about.
  10. For the umpteenth time, it can be just as useful to know where things are working as where they're not.
  11. Oh, right. I’m not sure they actually knew it was such a mess as they’ve happily delayed updates before.
  12. Yeah, they're saying heavy usage always causes problems around updates, but I don't remember this before on the official forums. With the huge Teams outage last week, my faith in MS' web infrastructure is not at its highest (whether it be their own or AWS').
  13. What would be the marketing benefit of that?
  14. Seems to be a widespread thing, affecting even other countries' water masks (e.g. Australia / Japan). Hop on over and vote: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/missing-water-masks-after-wu16/628180
  15. Can’t check until much later; everyone restarting the sim after installing?
  16. Good grief, they don’t do themselves any favours. I mean, forgetting / borking the water masks in an island update…
  17. They could have captcha style mini games in the loading screen where we could help train the AI…
  18. Aviator, possibly, but he’s a little too petulant for my idea of a highly accomplished person.
  19. I missed that first time round, and that is hugely exciting, especially if they’ve got extrapolated objects / autogen (like the rocks in the rivers that Jorg said he could see and count) to go on top. Maybe some natural water colours at last!
  20. Given the hallucinogenic word-salad, I’m gonna go ahead and assume you’re full of it.
