Yes, they call it the front cargo door within the manual. I'm a bit surprised they didn't animate this to open. So does anyone know what the Door 3 button does in the 2D Shift panel?

v3.14 is great but I'm trying to figure out how to open the cockpit door? The manual mentions 3 doors - pax, cargo and paratrooper but the 2D panel lists 4 doors. I'm guessing the cockpit opens with door 3 button but nothing is happening?

Smart. You might find you are perfectly happy enough with FSX after your upgrades.

Your CPU a definite bottleneck, the higher the GHz the better. Your gfx card is also a possible bottleneck if you are running high res and/or high anti-aliasing.

I'm all of a sudden having this issue where FSX loads Minimized 90% of the time, rather annoying. The above solution works but has ANYONE ever been able to track down why this happens? I recently installed GSX and wonder if it has something to do with that?

I'm really looking forward to the people animations but in the mean time I was wondering in the old days, how did they load the catering and bags? Was it like this? Does GSX have true support for older planes?

Ugg... with vanilla FSX on medium or lower settings, you'll be ok, but top tier graphics are not in your future with those specs.

Youngest and most interesting flight I have memory of was landing into an extremely stormy Reykjavik (BIRK) airport in Iceland at winter's night. It was an international flight from New Your on an Icelandic Air DC-6. The landing was pretty nerve racking with the plane all over the place. Relieved and parked, we were asked to deboard the plane. Holding my mother's hand, we were shoved down the outside airstairs into a white hell. Holy pain in the face. Around 0°F, the major sideways snow and wind pierced our faces like thousands of tiny needles as we walked through several inches of the snow accumulating in mini dunes on the tarmac. It was a major white out and I remember being dumbfounded we actually just landed in this crazy weather. What a relief entering the terminal doorway. On another flight in the early 70's, we were supposed to land at Luxembourg. Over the airport, we were notified that the airport terminal was on fire. Yup, there was smoke where there seemingly shouldn't be. Not allowed to land, we were instructed to fly to Brussels, which the pilot did. When we got to EBBR, the airport was so fogged in they couldn't and refused to let us to land there. We were ordered to go back to Luxembourg and land there, the pilot did and by then, the fire was more under control I assumed.

These are known issues with FSRecorder and FSX. Best thing is to record the video with Fraps, Afterburner, Windows Game DVR or the like.

You might try disabling those 2 new scenery within FSX to see if that is the cause of the freezes.

Are you using any camera addon? What does your fsx.cfg list as the set resolution for your video card? How many viewports are open? I assume you are loading a specific saved game since you state the cockpit viewport window is undocked?

Well I bought GSX and VAS is not affected much so far but I haven't stressed out things yet much. What I do find annoying are the vehicles clipping into each other. The fuel truck parks right in the center of the plane. Baggage trucks run through the bag belt trucks too. The plane I'm using is Captain Sim 727 which has a built in profile too.

Very nice. Challenge to fly too. I wish A2A would add this plane to their Connie stable.

See topic pretty much. Any idea how much VAS GSX uses? Anyone ever try comparisons at a nice airport with and without GSX running? Thanks in advance.

These are indeed pretty low end specs. Vanilla FSX would be ok but introduce any addons and this system will get taxed quickly.

Beside the in cabin cigarette smoking, I miss the old days, these put a smile on my face. Women were women, men were men, people were classy, polite and dressed nicely. This is just one example from my new favorite youtube channel. I figured some others may enjoy all these large and varied amounts of videos if they haven't already found this channel.
