  1. I took a chance and upgraded last night (upgraded from Win 8.1 Pro to Win 10 Pro. Not a fresh install). Worked. No problems. P3D and PMDG working just fine, as well as my other addons.
  2. As most know, Windows 10 was release today. I upgraded my laptop (the upgrade, not clean install) and all seems well (really like the OS so far). Thinking of doing it to my desktop that has my flight sim software. Has anyone performed the upgrade with P3D installed? Did it work or produce a license error? How about PMDG? I will eventually do a clean install but would like to just upgrade for the time being.
  3. If memory serves me correctly (which, at times, it doesn't) I recall the TacPack publisher saying they wouldn't have a P3D version, that PMDG initially didn't want a P3D version and most of the community thought in-cockpit weather radar was impossible. I generally discount sweeping statements. If there is a demand, there will eventually be a supply.
  4. do you have issues not being able to see the keyboard or stick/controls? Also, does it allow you to have a "reference monitor" such that a second person can see on a monitor what you are seeing in the headset?
  5. Love it. Just went through bad weather with the radar (and ASN) so nice. Bounced around. Night time is beautiful. FPS is great (the T7 kills me, this is fine). The Poseidon liveries are great. Worth it. Very happy
  6. I was thinking it was P3D because when they go through the clouds, they are "particle" clouds--the ones that were added to v2. Also, the lightning looks like REX--the double forked bolts. I'd imagine there are all sorts of computers running that beast.
  7. Maybe if I win the lotto... http://www.flyingmag.com/training/recurrent-trainingsimulators/video-amazing-robot-controlled-flight-simulator?src=SOC&dom=fb
  8. I think what you are seeing is the effect that a camera gives when recording a screen. Try going in a fairly dark room and use your smartphone camera to record a night flight (with ground lights). The iris of the real camera has to adjust and you get certain amounts of overexposure like you would in real life. I doubt there are any special in-game settings that produced this.
  9. Did you take this with an iPhone? I've setup my iPhone in front of my computer screen and recorded flights. It's not as "clean" a video as capturing it with the video card but looks a lot more realistic in my opinion. I've fooled people before into thinking the videos were real flights.
  10. I got included in the closed beta as well. Really great product. With the free traffic limiter app, you can really crank things up and keep good fps/fluidity
  11. I recently reinstalled a disc image (2.5 to v2.4 while all the add-on companies get sorted out) and got the same error. I really didn't think installing an older image would set things off....
  12. I'd agree with that... or at least say that P3D is likely different for nVidia. It seems like all these first person shooter games likely use similar core programming or at least have similar attributes. (Again, this is only my conjecture). This would make it pretty simple to churn out another first person shooter games optimization--or at least easier. P3D/flight sims are such a different beast that I'm not surprised that it is taking time. But when someone of the likes of Lockheed Martin knocks on your door, I'm sure you do take notice.
  13. I assume NVidia didn't fix it for P3D, but that it was general bug (or an accidental fix)...
  14. It's closed. Bernard was nice enough to include me after I asked for help after having trouble with 5.4c (which was largely my fault since I didn't note that it is not v2 compatible). Should be out soon--it works nicely with v2.
  15. Took off from Chicago KMDW and headed east toward EGLL and just kept going (set to unlimited fuel to just let the sim keep running). I have Orbx global, ASN, MyTraffic X (new beta) with traffic set to 50% (with the air-manager limiter running). 12 hours in the air and still going strong...
  16. I'm in. Can't wait for the 737, 747v2 and weather radar (with ASN) updates. Good times.
  17. Yup. Driver 344.xx works fine (that's what I use). Had the same issue.
  18. Holy ****. How have I not seen this site/publisher before. This stuff looks really cool. Thanks!
  19. Slightly OT - but news of TacPack for P3d has me wondering: do you think it would be possible for a 3rd party dev to develop a "dynamic campaign" system such that you could essentially run P3D like Falcon 4.0?
  20. On the military side of things... I'd like a try a high quality U-2 or SR-71. For something really different, an X-15 would be interesting... good for short flights and landing practice. (for modern stuff, I'd still like a good C-17 Globemaster or C-130 Hercules... but that's for another thread). Agree, and I'd imagine that will happen in the next couple of years as the pendulum of users continues to swing to P3D.
  21. do you have some sort of shader add-on installed, like SweetFX or something similar?
  22. I'd try running the P3D repair tool (run the installer and it will ask if you want to repair or uninstall P3D). That is certainly not how the water should look.
  23. going to have to wear a couple of titans in sli on my head does look cool though.
