Since I posted earlier, I tried downloading and installing the PC12 from Carenado again. During the install I received numerous error messages including some re missing fonts required for the gauges etc. I have upgraded to w10 from W8 pro since my last try. Still won't go on for me. Maybe it's my system. I don't have the Estonia product. Maybe it's time I did Regards Rob

This is one of my favourite aircraft and the one I will be buy if I win the lottery.... I have been in touch with Carenado about it. Basically it will not install into P3Dv3 yet and Carenado informed me they are upgrading their products at the rate of two per month until the all work. The downside is that they tend not to show that the product has been upgraded on their website. I can get it to install into P3Dv3 the gauges are blank on my sim so it makes the aircraft unuseable Hope this helps Regards.. Rob

Hello planenut...It seems you have virtually the same set up as me. I am lucky enough to have two p3dv3 licences and did a trial run on my new windows 10 laptop before upgrading my main dedicated simulation PC. My conclusion is... go for it. My laptop works great and doesn`t miss a beat and I have now upgraded my windows 8 pro PC to windows 10. Everything is working fine. A few of things I would add are below. 1 If you decide on a disc clean up after you upgrade, then do not remove your old version of windows until you are satisfied 2. I have read on the windows 10 forums that Microsoft intend to migrate everyone over to windows 10 in the new year. 3. Saitek now have beta drivers out for all the Saitek controllers except the throttle quadrant. Mine works fine however in windows 10 4. Use the spad drivers for your saitek panels and they will work great as well 5. If you have a DX12 capable graphics card, in the long term P3Dv3 may be upgraded to use it which will improve your graphics as well. I bought this aircraft ror P3DV3 then bought the navigraph upgrade from Carenado only to find the navigraph only works in FSX at the moment. Be warned. Regards..Rob

Hi Dan.. thanks for getting back to me. I will look into ASN as I have Rex essentials plus overdrive at the moment but have heard rave reviews about it. I am certainly no expert in the programming side of P3D and FSX but I was not using REX when I had my problems. As I was having the same MSVCR120.dll error on my load flight crashes I wondered was it the same problem. It is working fine at the moment. I am now using a you tube tutorial to get all my saitek panels working with Spad, Linda and FSUIPC. And I thought IFR flying was complicated !! Regards..Rob

Hi Jim It wasn`t the manuals problem I had, I think I am one of the few who actually reads them before I do anything. Comes with a career of working in the pointy end of an aircraft !! I installed all the sim connects on the first install of the 777 but I still think the problem was the 777 arguing with FSUIPC settings I had which ended up causing all my problems and CTD on every flight load. I had the MSVCR120.dll error and there are 150 plus posts on the P3dv3 forum with many people having the same problem. When I last checked LM had not taken up the problem. Regards...Rob

Update.. re the above. By process of elimination, I believe the faults were caused by having weather filters switched on in fsuipc such as reducing gusts near aircraft. I use this to avoid severe windshear in autocruise settings. I believe this setting may have been arguing with the 777 weather radar files but I not an expert so may be wrong. My remedy which fixed all the problems was as follows. 1. Delete all fsuipc files from the modules folder. 2. Startup and close down p3dv3. 3. Reinstall fsuipc but do not apply any settings 4. Enable controls in p3dv3. 4. Ensure rudder pedals have no null zones and full sensitivity in the calibration page 5. Reinstall all sim connects as per the pmdg read me file. Following the above I was able to fly 6 hrs 40 mins flight from egff to kjfk without any problems. Rob Winstone

Hello.. Has anyone else had these problems. I have just installed the p3dv3 version of the PMDG 777 200. It has caused me three problems so far. 1. The worse and most annoying problem, is that it causes my brakes to stick on which I cannot release in the normal sense. In fact I can only release them if I keep the brakes applied during taxiing.I use all Saitek Cessna pro equipment, (rudder pedals, trim wheels etc etc ) and am aware of the fix for sticking brakes by removing any null zones in the calibration and ticking the reverse boxes. This does not work and I have tried to use the aircraft with and without FSUIPC but its still doesn't make any difference to the brakes which now stick on in all my other aircraft. I have all the latest drivers and installed and the latest version of FSUIPC I have installed all the sim connects as per PMDG recommendations. I have ensured I do not have any duplicate key assignments. 2. It has deactivated my joystick button ATC assignments and I cannot use ATC at all with the 777. I have tried reassigning them but to no avail. It has somehow killed everybody in the control tower.!! ATC will not work even if I click on the main ATC button in the main menu. I can only get ATC working by using the scroll lock button with other aircraft. 3. If I restart a flight . After getting an error message, The aircraft starts up with blank panels and no undercarriage. P3DV3 often crashes if I exit the sim after this. I am beginning to think this aircraft is not ready for the sim market. I have the FSX versions of the 777 200 and 300 and they all work fine. I have tried a reinstall and that has not cured my problems. Any help will be very much appreciated Thanks .. Rob Winstone

Thanks very much for your help..I have FSX installed on its own drive plus mirror copies of it and my entire C drive backed up on externals. I know its a risk you take when you upgrade the operating system, but at least feed back from guys like yourself help with the final decision. I will wait for the main release of W10 but will definitely give 8.1 a miss after reading about compatibility issues and DX10. Thanks again..Rob

Hi guys..I have a windows 10 upgrade question for those of you who have installed it....Like many others, I have a dedicated FSX PC and with just about all the saitek controllers and boxes plus Track IR running three screens. I use FSX with REX plus Orbx and lots of Carenado and PMDG / Aerosoft add ons. I have spent hundreds of hours fine tuning my set up and am being constantly being reminded by windows to upgrade from my current windows 8 to 8.1. I recently upgraded my laptop with has windows 8 to 8.1 and it had no affect on my FS9 installation or other programmes. They all work fine without any reinstalls, I would like to upgrade my main rig to windows 10 and so my question is can I just select windows 10 as an upgrade or will I have to reinstall everything again. I would rather go without than have to do this. The main reason for the upgrade is I too have the occasional controller drop out. Thanks in anticipation...Rob

Hi Paul I've got most of the saitek panels and no unless you use a different non saitek driver they do not work with either the 777 or the ngx. I have the radio panel, the Bip, and autopilot together with the saitek Cessna controls , trim wheel and dual throttle quadrant plus rudder pedals. I have experimented with a full version of fsuipc and an alternative driver called "spad but concluded it was best to remain with the saitek drivers as I also have track ir and the alternative drivers caused my track ir to argue with my Bip. ( back lit information display). Also the trim wheel does not work with the 777 or ngx. Ironically the panels do not fully work with the Airbus X either. Do not let this put you off buying them however, they work great with all Carenado products plus the A2A products and the Majestic Dash 8 Q 400. I am sure someone out there could get them to work. Like most of you I think this is a great aircraft one of Carenado`s best efforts. I have found the following bugs. 1. The upper GNS 530 switches itself off occasionally and can`t be turned back on. 2. The IAS button on the AP does not work 3. As another has said, the flap indicator seems to disappear. I am a RW pilot and although not flown a PC12 it will be the aircraft I buy if I win the lottery ! I hope they bring out the NG version.

After installing the 1.15 update I found my Saitek Cessna twin throttles stopped working. I had the same problem when I first purchased the add on. This was originally fixed by the document searcher zip file which is no longer available from Aerosoft and my Kapersky anti virus software deleted it because it thought it was a trojan. As the throttle fix utility on the Aerosoft launcher would not work , I contacted Aerosoft. It seems the fix is by running the Airbus x configurator which is installed in the FSX, Aerosoft, Airbus x extended folder and ticking the appropriate boxes. I have asked Aerosoft to highlight this on their web site.

Hello Ryan..I know the PMDG policy on windows 8 support, but can I just let you know that until this update, everything worked fine . My operation centre recognizes that there is a new update available but when I click on the update windows states it "cannot run this app and to contact the publisher for another version of the software". Fortunately my system works fine without it. I suspect others my have the same warning.
