  1. VR It´s first priority for developers, so yes, it´s coming Cheers Carlos
  2. Count me in, too. I had de microsoft joystick with force feed back many years ago, and it was pretty amazing back then. A yoke would not be cheap, but worth every penny. Cheers Carlos
  3. I agree, it´s starting to sound somehow embarrassing. On the other hand the developers stated that VR is now their first priority, so can we move on and enter 21st century now? Cheers Carlos
  4. In another thread @thetford569 said that he was listening the podcast of simflight.com where they were interviewing the developers, and: "They also mentioned that they were making a priority list based on feedback they’ve been seeing recently. The number one on the priority list he said is VR support and they are looking at it because they didn’t really plan it before but he said it was clear that was a high priority based on feedback.". I´m at work right now and can´t look at it, can someone confirm that they said that? Cheers Carlos
  5. Hand tracking is going to be an absolute game changer here. The possibility of using a real yoke and use your hands at the same time to push buttons and turn knobs in VR is exciting. So we don´t know if the hand tracking is coming to Rift S and we don´t know when we will have VR in MSFS...had better days 😕 Cheers Carlos
  6. This! I watched the video where Neumann says he was inside the colisseum and machu pichu in VR and he had the idea for a flight sim, and at the end we won´t have VR? All the actual flight sims have VR. You name it: P3D, Xplane 11, DCS, Il2-Sturmovik, AeroflyFS2, rise of flight, Flyinside flight simulator... It´s implemented in all of them because VR lovers are a bunch (like 3D Tvs) and see no future in VR /s off. It has no sense to have the most amazing and innovative flightsim in 2020 with no VR. No sense at all. For me, like many others here, there´s no way back to flat screen. Don´t get me wrong I´ll buy MSFS because I want to support it, but not having VR at launch is a huge disappointment (I´m pretty sure we´ll get there at some point sooner than later tho). But my flights we´ll be limited to "testing" in a flat screen. Cheers Carlos PD: I don´t get those "visual" reproaches about the resolution of the actual headsets. I can read all the gauges without a problem in my VR cockpit, use my GTN750 inside and do the checklist without taking off the headsets, Sure is not 4K but with a Rift S the resolution (at 1.6 SS) is more than enough to enjoy it, and there are even better headsets out there.
  7. My bet is Tech-Alfa is getting closer (at the end of october). Must be a lot of new info there. Cheers Carlos
  8. I feel kindof cheated. I really hope they can make the hand tracking work in the S, if they don´t this could probably be the electronic device with the shortest life ever. On a more positive note, the hand tracking for simming could be amazing, you can use a hardware yoke and the possibility of turning knobs and press buttons with your real hands. Cheers Carlos
  9. Actually, tomorrow we´ll have a "preview" of that discovery series", nothing too deep and just a small piece of cake of what we can expect. Probably some different screenshots of the world, cockpit, weather and a few lines about the aerodynamics. It will be next month when they´ll show real deep info about that, starting with the "world". Cheers Carlos
  10. Should have to be user updated to be feasible. And I love the idea! Cheers Carlos
  11. Oh, fair enough. Now I´m even more excited xD Cheers Carlos
  12. Im an iliterate with this but if the grass is procedurally made...Can it be colour "changed" to depict seasons easily? Cheers Carlos
  13. If this is the level of detail we´ll see in MFS2020, all I can say is "exciting times ahead for flight simming". Can´t imagine the detail we will have in airports and/or missions. Even looks fun to get off your plane and walk around to pay a visit to some nice landscapes like this (virtual tourism on the way xD) Cheers Carlos
  14. Just checked. They are still there. Cheers Carlos
  15. Nice find! It was pretty obvious that it was going to be a kind of "marketplace" but this confirms it, Cheers Carlos
  16. Could it just be a defective unit? I have it since release and never had that "black out" problem and I´ve never played "Onward" but I´m quite happy with the tracking so far. cheers Carlos
  17. Uh? What do you mean? I´ve never used the hat switch in VR and never heard of one who did. You just move your head like real life to look around. It´s like trackir but well implemented (in trackir the move in your head is not real or you will lose focus on your screen when in VR you have no limits with that). I think you should consider giving VR a chance having in mind that already surpasses the advantages of TrackIr. Cheers Carlos
  18. It´s photogrammetry. I was being sarcastic with the "you can´t see la sagrada familia" thing, because if you zoom enough it is there, as @Mace found out. There are a few cities in spain like seville and Madrid that are in 3D in bing. You can check it if you want. Every single building is there in real life, like the peculiar architecture of L´eixample:
  19. I hope they are fixing the issues with dynamic lighting in VR. You get a weird effect since the light is different on each eye. (in single pass rendering) Cheers Carlos
  20. Walk around is a crucial procedure before every flight, so yep count me in! We absolutely need that (in VR of course)
  21. I`ve always wanted to fly thru all of europe at that detail. Barcelona is one of the 3D cities in Bing maps, I do really hope that we´ll have plenty more like Paris or London. Cheers Carlos
  22. actually "La Sagrada Familia" can´t be seen..meh xD
  23. Living pretty close to Barcelona that got me drooling. And yes, I guess the MFS team checks avsim 😅 Cheers Carlos
  24. I´m pretty sure that the journalist is not a flight/flightsim expert, and sometimes writing an article means you can "foresee" (or you think you can) about what will happen just to make it more appealing to the reader. It´s fair to do so but in the end it just "appeals" to those easily influenced. We´ll have user-defined weather, random-defined weather (as probably the journalist was told) and real weather. Cheers Carlos
