  1. Just one thing, in Brazil we speak Portuguese, not Spanish.
  2. Did you measure that? Or are you just arguing because it's PMDG, so it must be better, even in a negative aspect like that? There are other planes with a high address space footprint, just because he didn't use a PMDG plane it doesn't mean that his results are wrong.... The OP repeatedly said that, on the same situation, using the same plane, he can't even make the turn over the pacific out of LAX, while in the test he managed to complete the flight.... And another thing: he clearly showed that FSX:SE is better at managing VAS... IF even then, we get OOM errors with the 777, that doesn't mean a fault in the simulator, but the fact that the PMDG 777 is just a poorly optimized plane. Cheers!
  3. Man, the pmdg defense league won't let one thread go immune.... VAS has nothing to with complexity of systems, they don't have anything to do with Address Space, but certainly they affect computing power. So, just because the 777 is better all around (I'm not negating that), the only important factors for this test are size of textures, complexity of the model, textures loaded, etc. What you can see on hi videos if you just open your eyes before shouting "PMDG, PMDG", is that FSX-SE surprinsigly is more efficient than FSX in VAS management. What we need now is another test, seeing how it changes overtime, if the same behaviour can be seen along an 5 or 7 hours flight. Cheers!
  4. The Steam version of X-plane, unlike FSX, is exactly the same as the boxed version, and yes, it is the global version, but you can choose which continents to download. You won't have any problems with addons, they are all compatible. I can't think of a reason NOT to buy the Steam version. Cheers!
  5. Actually, the files are already hosted, the only work would be to create a torrent file and point to all the folders instead of just one. But nevermind, thanks again for the amazing work man. It truly baffles me what you managed to do. Cheers!
  6. Thanks man for the amazing work you do. I can't imagine flying in X-Plane without your mesh. If I could just ask one thing, would it be possible to have just one torrent with all the files? That would make downloading all of them incredibly easier... Cheers and thanks again!
  7. Great, just bought it. Thanks for the amazing work you guys are doing. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next
  8. What if I already own PrecipitFX, is there a discount for the 777 Immersion?
  9. For those wondering, Steam always updates on 13h00 EST. So that would be 18h00 UK time. All new releases are made available at that time.
  10. That's great, I'm looking forward to the new package.
  11. You may be right when dealing with roads, in that case yes, maybe the data used in UTX is really much better. But that's all there is to it: roads. OSM, on the other hand, deals with the placement of everything, roads, trees, houses, farms, industries, etc. I urge you to go the OSM site and see for yourself the amount of detail that is available in some areas. Yes, the quality of the data is not uniform, there are some places where simply there isn't anything, but in the end run, for me it clearly is the better choice, something with a huge amount of details and with a community behind it that is constantly making it better. And I have to agree with Craig, leaving accuracy out of the picture for a minute, UTX just doesn't look good, while Vector seems natural. Cheers!
  12. Both, they released versions for FSX and FS9
  13. Well, thank you very much for the answer. It's refreshing to see a developer that actually cares about his customers, this just confirms my idea of FlightBeam as the best airport developer around. Most developers treat anything we say about their products as a personal offense, thank you for taking the time to respond Ray's topic. Cheers!
  14. I'm curious to see your results Ray, do let us know what you find. Cheers!
  15. I don't want to make your decision even more difficult, but if you buy KSFO you will have an discount on the new version, whenever it comes out...
  16. The performance is really good. I would say that it's an amazingly detailed scenery with the impact of a normal scenery. Really, I can't complain, it's phenomenal. Bought Phoenix, was the only one I didn't have... Cheers!
  17. Exactly, I couldn't have said it better. But some developers can do no wrong, as we well know... Unfortunately others have to contend with the fickle expectations of the spoiled kids that the internet (and Avsim) seems to be full of... It's a shame. For the others, thanks for the opinions. Cheers!
  18. Really lad, really? What your commentary added to the topic? Was that really necessary? Moving on, thanks for the impressions guys. I'll be watching this one closely. Cheers!
  19. If you really thinking mainly about P3D here, you can cross the triple SLI item. You won't get any benefit whatsoever. I think I would go with a large screen with g-sync. BTW, I have the Carbide Air 540 too... Amazing case isn't it? Cheers!
  20. Sadly I don't think this was ever permitted on Avsim.....
  21. It does work with P3D, and it's an amazing addon.
  22. Amazing Michael. Thanks for posting this..
