  1. Landing on 4000+ ft asphalt runways (which is most of the time) I've had a lot of good luck with planning 85-90 at decision height with Flaps 30. I'll cut the power just before runway threshold and typically touch down around 72-75 kts. I've found that if you're above >80 kts at Flaps 30s there's a good chance of floating. Also, like in that video I'm usually near idle power on short final with about the same attitude. It's definitely a pronounced nose down angle. Between the Twin Otter, Dornier 228 and the MU-2 the PC-12 is super "floaty" if you're too fast. I've also found that using Autogyro's modified .air file and some flap drag modifications (that were posted in this forum a week or so ago) help tremendously. Having flown on PC-12s a few times (and aware that Carenado's IRL simulations are not always accurate) I definitely found that trying to mirror similar flap and gear speed schedules was near impossible. The modifications helped that for me, personally.
  2. Awesome! I've been using this one and overall happy with it but I really like TSS's products. Look forward to picking it up.
  3. One can hope! Copy lines of text files every 30 days is a hassle!
  4. I've been able to replicate odd tracking issues in a variety of conditions but the most egregious are: Extreme crosswinds at cruise Transitioning from VLOC to GPS (or vice versa) Any time acceleration above 2x I've been able to replicate all three issues with and without Bert's mods as well as the Flight1 GTN 750 and 650. So... the good news: It's not the Flight1 GTN It's not Bert's mods But... the bad news: Bert's mods won't fix it It's probably the AP logic, which I understand Carenado to use the default FSX/P3D AP engine/logic. I've replicated my "test" routes with the Flight1 King Air 200, Cessna Mustang, Aerosoft Twin Otter and the RealAir Turbine Duke and none of them suffer from the tracking issue. Although only the Twotter and Duke were tested with and without the Flight1 GTNs.
  5. Oh wow, these really are weekly threads from people in this forum? Unreal.
  6. Regrettably the last time I posted information about how this was accomplished it immediately taken down by the moderator staff as pirated material.
  7. Definitely possible to extract the data and get in a format to put it into the GTNs. Absolutely not intuitive or "single click."
  8. I for one appreciate that PMDG does this as it regularly generates new threads on avsim about it. That and it's not wing flex or split scimitar-related discussions.
  9. The daily Sky Force thread from Jeroen, I see. Nice change of pace, I suppose, from the wing flex and split scimitars of the PMDG 737 daily requests.
  10. Ron - Absolutely fantastic, thank you. I had asked Kerry about it a few months ago. As I had the opportunity to fly on that exact plane earlier this year. Thank you so much! Sent you a PM as well.
  11. Whether I use the Cold & Dark panel setting or not, I have to toggle the ignition to ON in P3Dv4. It's fine in FSX:SE. I still get the massive torque blast on startup, the torque goes all the way to 40 PSI for 3-5 seconds and then settles back into the 2-3 PSI range. That's with zero peripherals mapped or connected (just keyboard & mouse).
  12. I've gone to Vegas quarterly every year since 2007 and I've never once felt the allure of strippers or gambling. I go on peak & off peak for 3-4 days at a time (typically over holiday weekends) and with airfare I've never spent more than $500 in hotel, airfare and "entertainment" while I'm there. I'm well aware that Vegas can be an expensive place but it doesn't have to be, nor does it make sense to assume that there's only two types of entertainment in the city. Ironically, a lot of the Vegas experiences that are available can cost considerably more than either of these two vices.
  13. I always look forward to adding your hard work to my hangar, thanks Ron!
  14. Could you imagine a drinking game where every time you saw a period on this page you had to take a shot?!
  15. https://imgur.com/GhhpOS0 Spoiler alert, it's right at the top of the page.
  16. Carlos, It was a 2014 MacBook Pro running Bootcamp with an 2.0GHz i7 and a 2GB VRAM Nvidia card. Don't recall the specific model, the computer was replaced 6 months. I don't run the Citation X on my new computer, the honeymoon period was short and I routinely ran into issues with this add-on. So I uninstalled it and haven't looked back, especially after seeing how Eaglesoft was interacting with their customers in their "support" forums.
  17. Did you ever figure out what's going on with your starter sequence? I just bought P3Dv4 yesterday and with a clean install of it and the PC-12 I'm experiencing the same thing. Unable to start with the normal process, then when I do it maxes the torque to 42 psi for a solid 5 seconds. I have issues too with the plane but that's at least one of them. - Installed with admin - Launched application with admin
  18. Notice how the forum says: "unofficial." If you want support from Carenado, these forums are not the place to get it.
  19. Used memtest86 on a USB boot drive. No issues/problems detected.
  20. All peripherals (including USB headphones removed). The game will launch to the menu but when I attempt to load a flight it'll crash on asynchronous loading.
  21. Thanks. Tried that. Worked great for a single launch and I was able to complete the demo tutorial. Subsequent relaunches have resulted in the same crash. Gotcha, looks like the article I followed on X-Plane's website where this was recommended is only applicable for 32-bit. I had backed it out after a single launch with it manually configured did not resolve. With auto enabled, same issue.
  22. Not running overclock. I posted on their official forums. (http://questions.x-plane.com/) Sent an email to info@x-plane.org on Saturday the 2nd and again on Tuesday the 5th, both unresponsive.
  23. Brand new computer, downloaded the Windows demo. Crash varies between BSOD & virtual memory areas. Log file 8700k / 16GB RAM / GTX 1080 Removed NVIDIA drivers that came from Dell/Alienware and installed the 1080 drivers from NVIDIA after remove the GeForce experience panel. Went in and manually adjusted the virtual memory page file to allow 16384 on the max, same issue. No add-ons, just the demo (can't even get to settings to adjust them). The computer handles everything else I throw at it without an issue. FSX:SE, P3Dv4, No Man's Sky, GTA5, World of Warcraft. I followed some recommendations to: -Can you launch the installer again so that corrupted files can be replaced? -If this doesn't solve the issue, delete or move for backup the entire .../X-Plane 11/Output/Preferences folder. That allowed me to launch the game once and then back to BSODs. Any ideas, recommendations, tips? The X-Plane support forums have gone silent and honestly, 50% of the reason I bought this computer was to run X-Plane 11.
  24. Although not the original file, I found this on another flight sim site - https://rg.to/file/02e068b66a2de0312c116de4708a8a85/Dornier_228-100_Pilots_Operating_Handbook.pdf.html
  25. I guess that's my question, Bert has indirectly answered it. Sounds like there's a lot of behind-the-scenes "logic" that might not be easily transferable. Maybe it's a matter of just calling the gauge of the Cheyenne III from the PC-12, no clue. My savvy with gauges and .xml is basic at best. Mostly I was fielding the question to the group, preferably to be seen by someone who might be able to make sense of it.
