hi all, i have P3D v4 and 737 NGX installed and have found that when i try to run NGX with vsync ON (the low refresh rate & unlimited fps trick for smoothness/tearing) i only get 5 frames per second. turn vsync OFF and i get 40-50 fps but lose the smoothness. all other aircraft work fine with vsync on. i use nvidia 3 monitor surround for outside view plus panels on a 4th. any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. pete.

So here is a little video about problem The problem is, that overall FPS in VC is 40-50. Even on high attitudes there is numbers like 60-70 FPS. But. The problem is, that I don't feel this FPS when move yoke. It feels like Yoke has only 10-15 fps. It's not smooth like in other aircrafts I have. Also spoilers, flaps, gear animation have the same problem. I tried to find topics about that, but every topic I found, cant solve my problem. So guys, if you know what to do, help me. Thanks. (My pc conf: i7 3770k, 8gb RAM, NVidia gtx 970, windows 10, game: Prepar3D V3.2.)

As the title says,When flying with the pmdg 737(VC view) my framerates are really low (approx 9).The strangest thing is that from external views i get more than 55 fps...There is an intregrated fps limiter in the fmc but i dont see any difference even after editing the numbers. Is there anything i can do to solve this issue and finally fly without such problems? Here are my pc specs:AMD ASUS HD 6950 Direct cu IIIntel Core I7 860 @3.36 GHzCoolermaster Gx 750 W PSU4 gigs RamWindows 7 ultimate 64bitH60 Hydro Series (cooler)gigabyte h55m ud2h MOBOThermaltake overseer (case)(9 led fans)

Good evening, I'm having some performance issues while running the 737NGX in VC. I'll give you the most details as I can so you can really understand the problem. My system specs first (it's a brand new PC): -Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V -CPU: I7-2600K @3.4 Ghz -GPU: Gainward GTX570 -RAM: Gskill 8GB (4+4 Dual channel) -System SSD: Corsair Force GT 60GB -HDD where FSX is stored: WD 1TB -Power Supply: Corsair 850W The only addon I've been running with the 737NGX is REX 2.0. I've played the first PMDG tutorial with low traffic and clear skies and during the flight I've experienced very low FPS in VC, in a range from 13 to 22, with occasional peaks of 30 (I have set 30 FPS limit whit nVidia Inspector). When in external view, I always get 30 FPS. Before using nVidia Inspector i used to make my tests in LIPZ and I could see that FPS in VC were the same, while in external view were about 45-50 FPS (not having the FPS limiter). I've already modified my FSX.cfg with the Venetubo tool, but I couldn't get appreciable results. Here is how I set it, I think I did it right: I have also followed all the instructions for best performance written within the NGX Introduction manual. Now, the main question is: is it normal to get that low performance with that settings with such a high-end system? I ask you because I want to know if overclocking is the only way out. Cheers, Gianluca De Angelis

Hello everyone! First post here so I think I should first take the time to say a couple of things about me and my background to avoid a pointless conversation. First of all, although I'm not a newcomer at flight simulation I did get back into it only 1.5 month ago after an absence of about 8 years. Long story short I've been meaning to start "flying" again for 3 years but I was stuck with only a netbook computer. A couple of months ago I bought a new laptop with the following specs: Intel Core i5-4210u 4Gb RAM (which I intend to take up to 8 or 16Gb in the near future) AMD Radeon R7 M260 Graphics with 2Gb dedicated memory 256Gb SSD Going for a laptop was the only choice so please let's not start with the old argument about FSX and laptops. At first I installed FS9 as that was what I had in hand and what I used to use before, I had bought a plethora of addons for it so after beating the whole setup into submision (FS9 & Win10, anyone?) I got back into flight simming. A couple of days ago a good friend of mine gave me his copy of FSX & Acceleration which I proceeded to install. Wow! I knew there were differences but that's unbelievable! After tweaking some settings just to make sure that I wouldn't boil my laptop's internals (thinking of getting a cooler just for good measure, as well) I can say that it runs pretty much the same as FS9, possibly even better (which I believe has to do with the fact it was designed to play with the Vista core which is what Win 7 and later are based on from the get go). I bought myself a copy of FlyTampa's LGAV (my closest commercial airport) and I have nothing but good words to say about that product! This is where I need your help. In Fs9 I used to fly Wilco's not-so-excellent Airbuses and the PMDG 737NG as my primary aircraft. I will try the Airbuses on FSX as well but I don't know which NG should I buy. I am aware of two popular options, the PMDG NGX and the iFly. I would like your opinion on this, especially if you have both. What I am interested in is getting something as complex as (or as close as possible) to the PMDG 737 that won't bring my computer to its knees and that will have a decent 2D cockpit, preferably with the option to disable the VC. I don't particularly like virtual cockpits as they are heavier on the framerates, and the 15 inch screen combined with my bad eyesight don't help much with growing a fondness for them, either. If they are so simillar that any of the twowould suit me the availability of repaints would seal the deal. Thank you in advance for your responses and excuse me for my long post!

Hello, I have recently upgraded my system because of low performance issues. My new specs are: i7-3770k @ 4.0ghz, GTX 970 4gb and 8gb Ram, Windows 7 Ultimate My config I've been playing with to work out whats gone wrong and I'm still very unsure as my fps can be as low as 8-9 fps in the sky. It also has lag spikes. Before you ask I use 3 monitors 1920x1200 on surround of a resolution of 5760 x 1200 on the gtx 970 (Running the flight). And a smaller monitor on a gtx 610 @ 1280x1024 (This for maps)... I have just used NVidia inspector for locking frames and other various things around on internet in there recommendations. I will attach everything and would appreciate if people could help me fix my FSX and NVidia inspector if need be to get these stable frames. I must also mention that I stream the middle screen on 1920*1080 to twitch sometimes on fsx and obs. Many thanks Bradley FSX CFG (Same on both cfgs performance wise really) 1: http://pastebin.com/ezqqUUR0 FSX CFG 2: http://pastebin.com/M7e4fTmw NVIDIA INSPECTOR profile: http://i.imgur.com/uWRG9ox.png

Ok I have FSX running on only 3 frames per second. I have a Intel i3 M370 / 4GB RAM / and Intel HD Graphics Card. I know this may suck for gaming but I know it can get at least 20 fps. I have every single slider set to low and this still gives me only 3 fps. I run the original FSX with only aircraft addons. No scenery no nothing. All sliders set to 0 execpt global texture resoloution is set to high for the plane. With default fsx aircraft I can get 20 with the sliders maxed out, but it doesn't make much of a diffrence because the crappy graphics card displays it like legos. I just want to run the addon plane and I do not care about the scenery. Its like the PMDG 737NGX or the Airbus X. I get 5 fps max on those planes. No matter what I do the frames don't change. If I set all the sliders to high then I still get 3 fps. If I set it to low, I get 3 fps. The scenery changes but the fps doesn't. Does anyone have any idea on what I could do to improve fps? Thanks in advance.
